Timex Full-Size Ironman Road Trainer Heart Rate Monitor

    • It'll keep track of my minimum, maximum, and average heart rates during my run as well as monitor my recovery levels to allow me to gauge my level of fitness--and it even estimates calories burned
    • The review feature will give you average HR, max/min HR for the workout, how many minutes you spent in your "target" HR and calories burnt, which is nice to see if you want to judge how intense your workout was.
    • Using an online treadmill calculator that takes age, weight, speed, and incline into account produces just under 900 calories burned
    • plus i don't use the metric system and don't actually even know the units they use to show calories burned
    • My previous HRM would show around 900 calories burned but this Timex HRM shows in the 1260 range which seems rather high
    • Also includes a new type of exercise section to select walk, run, cross train, etc - the manual says its for more accurate calories-burned reading, but its not worth the effort of toggling through type and intensity for a calorie count, imho
    • All of the functions you would expect are available and work the same as in older models.
    • It can be worn as an every-day watch as well as for exercising.
    • Its simple to set up and there are not alot of buttons to confuse you as to what functions they control.
