Simple dials are refreshing in a day when everything is so complicated
I much prefer dials over buttons, and these dials have a solid feel to them
I love the dial for tuning in to radio stations too; far superior to discrete digital channel selection, since you can hone in on the exact bandwidth where the signal is clearest.
A digital display is of course more convenient for dialing in stations, but the rotary dial is easy to use.
The pros are: the device is very attractive and I like the smooth feel of the dials (very nice).
Please work on wifi connectivity and making this a smart device
What you do get, though, is one excellent little speaker with a ported cabinet to boost bass performance, an excellent tuner, smooth electronics and the option to use Bluetooth enabled devices as auxiliary inputs
This is a gorgeous device, but since it can't offer basic Bluetooth functionality, I had no choice but to return it.
The pros are: the device is very attractive and I like the smooth feel of the dials (very nice).
As I get older I find that I enjoy fewer and simpler things more and more: quiet evenings with my wife, playing with my kids, birding on a crisp morning, laughing and chatting with patients, enjoying a good cigar, being on the water and always, always listening to the pops
Not a deal breaker, and that wasn't on my list of needs or wants when purchasing, but FYI.For my needs and taste, this thing is great
If this is the only thing that goes south on it for the next several years, well ... ok.
This is one of the most awesome and good looking things I have bought lately from Amazon
What you do get, though, is one excellent little speaker with a ported cabinet to boost bass performance, an excellent tuner, smooth electronics and the option to use Bluetooth enabled devices as auxiliary inputs
Great sound that fills my room and the tuner is fantastic
The tuner is very sensitive and using the "pigtail" external that comes with the unit I can pick up both stations with excellent sound and consistency.
The analog tuner for FM is much more sensitive than digital tuner radios we have without using the external antenna
The tuner pulls in stations that I did not know existed, this is a very smooth tuner and is a dream to tune into a station.
It is attractive - clean/modern-looking, while still having a warmer, more traditional look (i.e. not industrial or space-agey, which I feel tends to start looking outdated relatively quickly)
On top of that, the radio has a sturdy look and feel, and makes for an attractive ornament for any room.
Nice, classic look, small size and good sound makes this one of the best radios in the markets.
The Bluetooth works great and makes this conservative looking radio high tech
Great looking and stylish radio but fuzzy and canny sound.
Bluetooth works without flaw and gives greater flexibility.
The Bluetooth works great and makes this conservative looking radio high tech
Really nice, Bluetooth connects to iPhone from across the room easily, full sound from speaker
Keep in mind that the older computers and phones had inferior Bluetooth and may not sound as great as newer machines when paired with the Model One BT.
But don't waste your money for the Bluetooth upgrade - it simply never works
In any case, I returned this radio, which had only mediocre reception with AM band, for the Sangean WR-22WL digital radio that has presets, a digital clock and 2 alarms, Bluetooth and MUCH better reception for AM and FM bands
Radio (FM/AM) sounds great and gets very good reception.
The reception for the radio is very good and bluetooth streaming also produces a good quality sound
; It has the worst reception I ever experienced on any radio, period
Included is an inobtrusive FM antenna that plugs into a coax cable connector, which I added on, though reception seemed good without it
This was the best I could do considering KCSN's poor signal south of Los Angeles International Airport
My car, with a stock radio, parked just outside of where the Model One is located, picks up a local station loud and clear where as the Model One struggles to get a clear signal with good audio quality (and no, the car doesn't have HD
I'm listening to one of the weakest FM signals in my area with rich sound and pure clarity - KCSN-FM
Helpful hint: remember to throw the switch on the back of the unit when you install the external antenna, otherwise it won't boost the signal
I love the dial for tuning in to radio stations too; far superior to discrete digital channel selection, since you can hone in on the exact bandwidth where the signal is clearest.

With Tivoli Audio's Model One BT with Bluetooth wireless technology, simply switch to the Auxiliary position and after initial pairing, start listening to your favorite music wirelessly
It's that simple
With the addition of Bluetooth wireless technology, when you're not listening to our world-famous analog AM/FM tuner, you can listen to the music stored on your Bluetooth wireless technology-enabled device
You'll never tire of hearing your music through the Model One BT thanks to Bluetooth wireless technology's advanced A2DP profile, combined with the Model One BT's trademark equalization
And since Bluetooth wireless technology is wireless, you won't have to dig out an audio cable for your enabled-device every time you want to listen to your music through the Model One BT
But don't worry, the Auxiliary input is still on board, along with the Record and Headphone outputs, so you can continue to connect those "old fashioned" wired devices
