    • Convenient latch system.
    • My elderly mother in law has trouble working the latch
    • The latch is quite secure and obviously not very intuitive on how to open it!
    • The bottom latch closes about half the time when top latch engaged
    • From there I secured the top latch to the gate and closed it to where I wanted it
    • I would NOT trust the latch on this gate for children at the top of the stairs; possibly adequate for small pets.
    • It is sturdy enough to support the dogs when they jump up on it; only thing I don't like is the latch for opening as it is extremely difficult to work- it hold the gate closed quite well, but very difficult to manipulate for opening.
    • I was worried our young daughter would have difficulty opening the latch, but she does so with ease
    • (see update above)On the positive side, it IS quite sturdy (plastic latches aside) and I am pretty sure that my dog won't chew her way through it
    • I just let it swing freely, but the latch is easy to open with one hand.
    • You can extend the latch-side adjustments to hold the latch into place while you mark/adjust it.-Install the top latch.
    • Two days after we got it installed, the latch is BROKEN
    • Easy latch to open
    • The latch is a little difficult to open one handed; hurts my thumb.2
    • If she does, I will have to install a wood batten strip attached to two studs to support the latches
    • Like with the hinges, I placed the upper latch in position connected to the metal stud that screws into the gate horizontally
    • Install the latch and repeat for bottom latch with top latch secured.
    • After a month the latch still works perfect and is easy to open and close.
    • Open the gate and install the top latch into the wall
    • Slide the top latch into the top screw of the gate and adjust the screw in or out as necessary; it shoulld not be tight against the latch like it's pressing the latch into the wall
    • Now swing the door closed and dry fit top latch, mark and drill
    • Drill a 1/8” hole for each mark, and install the top latch
    • The latch is a bit cumbersome.
    • Upon closer inspection it seems almost as if the opening latch is fake
    • Only feedback is it would be nice if the latches were made of metal like the rest of the gate
    • Concern is the latch of holding the gate in place but everything is working at it should currently.
    • The latch that holds gate in is very finicky and the metal will easily get stuck over the plastic so that it
    • The latch to open would certainly be infant/toddler safe but my 8 year old can open it with ease
    • It is like the latch is not deep enough
    • I would NOT trust the latch on this gate for children at the top of the stairs; possibly adequate for small pets.
    • A bit challenging to install and the latch is a loud unless you are very deliberately trying to be quiet
    • I called today since I broke the latch with my powerchair
    • My elderly mother in law has trouble working the latch
    • And, the latch that came with it doesn't work
    • It’s very sturdy however the bottom latch was defective and wouldn’t pop out
    • but I dont like the latch to open and close it
    • The latch is very easy to open one-handed
    • And finally the latch is ridiculous
    • For the bottom latch, I simply attached it to the gate first, closed the gate and secured into the fore mentioned mounted top latch and marked where the bottom lined up
    • My latch broke on the wall and they sent out a new one, free and quickly
    • top latch (see pic) has a push-down mechanism that does nothing as far as I can tell
    • I have to use my hand and foot to lift gate out of top and bottom latches
    • It’s just not a smooth, natural latching function - however, after having two in use for a couple of years, there has been no breakage of plastic parts
    • Secure this bottom latch and call it good
    • The latches are cheap
    • Top latch broke after a year and a half of daily use.
    • Top latch broke after a year and a half of daily use.
    • Not a bad product, but not as good as I was hoping.
    • I received no hardware to install the gate and I am shocked as to how that managed to happen
    • The pieces attaching to the wall broke as soon as it was secured to the wall
    • n’t suspect my grandson will be able to for a long time either
