But I realized after trying to open it, I had a difficult time mainly because of arthritic hands, so my son removed the latch on top and bottom and kept the casing for the latch on the door frame and glued a magnet on both the top and bottom.

In return, the 2 pieces of the gate fall apart all the time because they are only held together by simple rubber clips that come off with a small amount of force

Very time consuming to install and now I feel like I've wasted my time and money installing a gate that isn't secure and doesn't work as it should

my husband has a hard time installing this, based on the way the door opens it takes a lot of spaces in front of the stairs which we dont have much space there

I had a hard time installing it but other than that it works great

We are getting up in age and were perplexed every time we stepped up to our door from the garage into the house.

So I recommend this one a million times over!

Closing it properly is an ordeal most times

Every time my husband came through it would scare our dogs and myself when we were on the other side of the house

I wouldn't hang on the gate, probably wont hold too much weight but a great full time use gate for inside your home!

I had a hard time getting this gate to close and align correctly, which is a common complaint for this gate
