    Toddy Cold Brew System

    • The handle is a joke.
    • they need a better handle. & a smaller neck on the glass container- you'd have to have the
    • I like the handle on the hopper
    • It would be nice if the handle was sturdier or a permanent part of the container.
    • I like the handle
    • What really stands out is the THIN glass carafe, flimsy plastic handle, and no lid.
    • I'm not really sure why it even comes with a flimsy plastic handle that will inevitably break over time spilling your coffee all over like one reviewer wrote
    • I don't trust the handle when holding the full container, lifting it up to pull the stopper out of the bottom when ready to drain and filter the brew
    • We needed a new carafe (one bad part of the system; needs a handle; easy to drop and break) so bought a whole new system so we could have a second brewing container.
    • a handle on the glass decanter, a way to lock the plastic handle on the toddy, extra cork(s) since they get lost easily, and a lightweight cover that just sits on top of the toddy when its full...a curious cat almost made a huge mess in my kitchen
    • A useless handle (that's not even permanently attached to the bucket?
    • however, there is a useless separate handle for it
    • I think all long-time Toddy users have devised their own system for lifting it, but the handle should make things easier
    • The handle on the toddy is flimsy
    • The handle is a bit flimsy, and the collars on the plastic brew pot where it sets atop the glass container could be better designed.
    • I don't feel comfortable using only the handle to carry the system
    • Dislike the tub’s ring handle, it is always falling off, and having just one container to store the coffee is a pain, you have to pour off the remaining coffee brew into another container to use the included glass container to drip the coffee out, it takes about a half hour or so, not something I want to do in the morning.
    • The handle that comes with it doesn't make it less cumbersome.
    • The handle is really flimsy and pretty much useless, but you don't really need it anyway
    • From the way the cone-shaped stopper fits precisely into the cone-shaped hole at the bottom of the hulking behemoth to create a perfect seal across the entire depth of the hole, to the ingenious plastic handle that seems to fit Toddy like a pair of pants that is two sizes too big in the waist and never stays on, this dude has it all
    • , I mean it's a plastic bucket with a flimsy handle and sharp edges on the bottom
    • The only real negatives for me are the flimsy handle, which tends to bend a bit with the weight of the coffee mix and the fact that I can't put the parts into the dishwasher.
    • The white handle is a separate piece (just a ring that goes around the top plastic bucket) and is seriously flimsy, if you fill the entire top part with water for a good and big brew, this handle is almost useless, kinda buckling in your hand under the weight of the water
    • However the handle can not even begin to support the weight of the plastic top when filled with coffee and water.
    • And it's got a usable handle
    • The main plastic brewing pot is fine, but the detachable handle is almost completely useless.
    • I suppose a paper towel would suffice 2) for the price, I'd like the handle to be something more than a flimsy afterthought
    • The handle that supports the coffee, filter and water is so flimsy you almost drop it when lifting away top pull the plug out.
    • They are a bit technical to figure out at first but worth the effortFYI, the handle is not very helpful
    • Yes, the handle is a bit flimsy, but I just use it for extra support as I pour with the main container
    • (2.. The "handle" for the brewing container is absolutely useless - I don't bother even trying to use ours after the first time (which was an absolute fiasco)
    • My only minor gripe is the wack/flimsy handle ring thingy
    • The main plastic brewing pot is fine, but the detachable handle is almost completely useless.
    • The only thing I do not like about it the handle is flimsy and not permanently attached to the tub.
    • Generally get about 10-15 brewings per filter (the filtering slows down as they're getting clogged) and coffee lasts me about a week per brewing.
    • My first brew didn't drain as well as it should have.
    • as strong as you want it to be.
    • I emailed the manufacturer, and they said the plastic is not made with BPA, and that is a great plus!I would recommend this to anyone, and have purchased this for many, as well as got additional decanters for myself!
    • I like my coffee strong and don't dilute the "extract" nearly as much as they recommend.
    • The parts for the system all last a long time (I've only had to buy replacement filters once in the past 3 years) and are easy to clean as long as you follow the directions (and using a coarse grind, as is specified in the directions is absolutely essential)
    • so my particular recipe is 1/3 c concentrate, 1/3 c water, 1/3 c fat free Half n Half, 1 tbsp syrup (vanilla or organic maple), ice.
