This is my second unit, over the years I first broke my carafe and then steadily lost the filters and the stopper and then finally the tub grew legs and disappeared.

The stopper is annoying & makes it difficult to empty the container without getting coffee all over the place

The stopper falls out, so I had to use a big rubber band to keep it in place overnight

I mean, c'mon, a cheap rubber stopper that I have to keep track of?

Even newer stoppers may experience some leaking in a mature system.

what you are brewing to ensure the best flavor!the stopper and the whole plastic pot system is pretty primitive and there are tons of DIY type things like this online that you can cobble together for maybe a little less, but this was a clean simple solution and now we have great cold coffee every day.

The stopper leaks

I don't trust the handle when holding the full container, lifting it up to pull the stopper out of the bottom when ready to drain and filter the brew

While it is small, the stopper is not really an issue.

Especially useful if you lost your rubber stopper or need a new filter NOW and didn't plan ahead by ordering those from amazon.

Another note, don't push the stopper too hard otherwise you will break the plastic

Children like to play with and loose the stoppers.

The stopper which holds the liquid in the brewing container seems kind of primative, but it works.

What I did not like about this design is the stopper on the bottom of the steeping contain that has to be pulled out from the bottom to allow the coffee to flow into the collection pitcher

When I drain the coffee, I rinse the stopper and lay it in the tray of my dish drainer.

I wish that I would not have tried out this "system".Also, Toddy clearly designed this with the idea of printing more money by selling more overpriced & unnecessary stoppers and filters.

If that doesn’t happen then you lose the stopper.

Have used this for 20 plus years, it is fantastic, only problem is getting the stopper in far enough to stop the leak, I think the hole need to have a smoother finish.
