It doesn't make a lot of noise (when it shoots the balls it is minimal) and it gets the kids active to chase after the balls because they like getting the shooter to pick them up.

I didnt notice until i got it that the balls were a hard plastic and was afraid that it might hurt him or that he might hurt his sister when he launched the balls out
It's that simple!Although the main toy is made of hard plastic, the blue "ring" on the wheels feels like rubber which provides some traction
Also the balls are pretty hard plastic and my other son (2yr) tries to shoot them at people or my 19mo son picks them up to throw them - they are way too hard of balls to have inside.
