This kettle worked great during the 8 months daily usage, but today it sparked and stopped working

but I don't feel like the kettle does a good job of keeping heat away from where your hands will be touching it

With this hot kettle, the water will smell like plastic

But this kettle has started to rust after less than 2 months (see picture)

I am amazed this thing has such a positive overall rating, and can only assume that most of the good reviews are from people who've never used a decent electric kettle and don't know what they're entitled to expect of one

This is a good kettle

After a few trips to Europe where electric kettles are standard issue in hotel rooms, I kept thinking that I needed to get one.

It is a good basic kettle and well worth the price.

However, there is a problem I could not accept that the kettle has water leaked when you pour the water.

Love my tea kettle.

If anything, I wish the sides were thicker to give more insulation, water might stay warmer longer, but so far seems a well made kettle.

After searching through several pages on Amazon for a kettle that would provide a truly plastic-less hot water experience, I suspect that the only kettles available are the ones where the underside of the lid is completely stainless steel, and those tend to be the ones where the lid comes off entirely (as opposed to being attached via a hinge mechanism.)

This kettle is fast, safe, small enough and easy to use

so the kettle is in constant use - this one is the worst kettle ever that I have purchased over the years, for the smell and taste not disappearing after a day or two
