The base is very lightweight, but works as it is supposed to.

The one star is because it boiled water as it was suppose to do, if you needed to add more water to it because you still hadn't enough you can be guaranteed to burn your hand with the steam dripping off the lid, which is what happened, out of the shock of hot water hitting my
