Biggest complaint is the fact that unless one pours exceptionally slow, hot water splashes all over the place

It looks nice on the counter & most importantly, the lid is lined with stainless steel so no plastic is is in contact with the hot water.

Definitely a plus at the office to boil water.

Hot water sitting in direct contact with plastic for extended periods of time is probably not something you want in your beverage

Pretty cheap feel to it but for now boils water so not a complete waste.

After searching through several pages on Amazon for a kettle that would provide a truly plastic-less hot water experience, I suspect that the only kettles available are the ones where the underside of the lid is completely stainless steel, and those tend to be the ones where the lid comes off entirely (as opposed to being attached via a hinge mechanism.)

It's fast to bring water to boiling; however, it more often gives some kind of chemical smell in the water

Welp... boils the water to be sure but the water comes out tasting and smelling like plastic and chemicals... along the lines of melted crayons, new car smell, burning plastic

Quiet, fast and does not have a water level viewer which in my experience always leaks at some point
