I wanted a rice cooker with “fuzzy logic” and really trust Toshiba products so this cooker fit my needs

I love the white rice setting where I just press one button and the cooker prepares the rice to perfection.

The keep warm setting is great

I did take to heart the warning some people gave about the keep warm setting possibly burning

Whenever I left my rice on warm for more than 5h,my old rice maker made my rice super dry turned into pebbles, but this one even after 15h still keeping the rice as good as it's just cooked

The cup and the spoon that come with the Zee are a bit sturdier and comes with a clip on spoon holder, but Toshiba's spoon is conveniently designed to stand freely, or lay on its inbuilt rest

This Toshiba is compact and has a convenient handle which means it's actually put away more often

The Toshiba is truly foolproof, perfect for easy prep without babysitting and ideal for my husband's lunchroom

It’s so intuitive and easy to use with clearly labeled buttons and the “fuzzy logic” is an excellent feature as I get perfect rice every time

It has cooked my calrose and jasmine rice perfectly every time, and I've been able to have rice ready to eat at all hours of the day by making use of the timer and keep warm feature.

It is quite consistent with the keep warm feature and I can hear the power cut "Tick" noise assure the rice is kept warm

It had nice quick rice feature to cook rice in 30 minutes.

The “Keep warm” feature is handy when you prepare the food ahead of time but are not ready to easy for a couple of hours

A bonus feature for me is the internal clock that keeps time even when not plugged in since I hate resetting time on appliances whenever there is a power outage.

Mine came out beautifully fluffy but firm with a gorgeous coconut fat sheen — perfect texture and fresh, rich flavor

I like that is easy to clean, very simple instructions however my rice comes out to dry needs to be eaten immediately otherwise the texture is hard and flavorless.

The materials used are of the best quality; the removable pot is non-stick on the inside and a really nice gold textured coating on the outside, making it easy to clean.

Turns out the Toshiba's oats had a better texture than the Zoji.

The rice has great texture, much improved on my $50 or less previous cookers

Even the inner pot is lovely with an outside gold color, and very clearly marked measurements inside.

I hate cooking, and I hate needing to wash 3 different pots and pans for 1 dish, so I'm always up for trying things that make it easier to shovel food into my mouth

In sum, this Toshiba is a high performance rice cooker, well built, and is smart as far as using advanced technology to adjust for the perfect pot of rice

If you want porridge (congee or jok as they call it) it also makes a delicious warm pot

Instant Pot cooks the fastest and isn't any harder since you have to do the same amount of measuring as the Toshiba, however, it does not do well keeping warm for more than a couple hours.

There are no scratches or dings and it’s pretty nice quality and It has a sleek design

The other rice cooker I have only cooks 2 cups, which is fine when it's just me, but doesn't work for when I'm cooking for my family

So I finally tried a basic rice cooker not too long ago and think it’s useful, but it lacks the quality and features of this Toshiba model

Bought this rice cooker for our new house and it works amazing

We had other rice cookers but it would always burn the bottom if the rice but this cooker doesn't at all!

I don’t mind it so much as long as the core functionality (as a rice cooker) is solid

Just to see what it would do, I left my brown rice in the pot on the keep warm function for 15 hours and it stayed like it was freshly cooked

This has made my life very easy when cooking for groups!

Set the timer and 50 minutes later you have a fresh cooked rice.

Then I strain out the water (to remove the arsenic), and steam it for another 10 minutes and then let it rest for 10 minutes

Got this for cooking more from home lately and it replaces a $30 unit I gave up on owing to the fact it spewed starchy water everywhere while cooking

Fuzzy logic was definitely being employed here as this Toshiba cleverly adjusts to turn out the perfect bowl every time

both Zoji and Toshiba say they use fuzzy logic, but the Toshiba does not vary the cooking time at all.

The preset on this unit is 80 minutes but will vary with its fuzzy logic technology, meaning that it will use inbuilt sensors to adjust cook time based on variables like volume of rice, water, and temperature
