Truly an awful device, should've never purchased it
-
All my other devices have no problem.
-
The device is sluggish to turn on an report
-
Like that we can isolate devices with the dual band.
-
another useless device
-
this device did the trick almost too well and easily
-
The first device did not work at all
-
This device initially *seemed* to work, however when using it I often found that the wireless channels (both 2.4 Ghz & 5.0 Ghz) showed as "Internet not available".
-
This device works perfectly for our application.
-
Excellent device if you have a good router with horrible range or need that extra range for the corners of your house
-
Great device improved the signal in my home tremendously
-
Awesome little device, sets up in mere minutes and effect is astonishing
-
Great device improved the signal in my home tremendously
-
I bet this device is vulnerable to Krack (attacks on the Wi-Fi Protected Access protocol that secures Wi-Fi connections) even though I haven't tested it myself yet
-
In addition, the device seemed to confuse my computer, as it didn't seem able to connect with either through the original router or through the extender.
-
Device was working properly until it wasn't
-
The issue I was having before was apparently it was too close to my other router and thus they were confusing each other and the connected devices
-
I originally wanted to use it as an extender to my bedroom for my smart devices , cellphone and TV, but the signal spikes up and down constantly, so it wasn't usable for streaming video etc
-
Pretty cool to see a wifi device that's easy to set up and has instant results
-
To fix the problem, I simply pull the device out of the wall and it works fine when I just stick with my router.
-
Have trouble shot the device to no end, and now just consider shooting it.
-
Device is OK and works well.
-
It is just a very faulty device that constantly looses its connection to the main Wi-Fi signal, the company after an update to the mobile app that allows remote control from your phone do not recognize the device anymore
-
This device is very cumbersome to setup
-
This little device is incredible
-
This is a great device for getting Wifi signal to reach all the corners of your home or home-away-from-home.
-
I really wanted to like this device
-
The device works perfectly
-
Once I got it working my devices in turn had issues receiving an IP
-
This device will not solve any coverage problems you have.-Certified Network Engineer
-
Great device
-
This is an excellent device & I would highly recommend it.
-
Love this device
-
This device is well worth spending the few extra $$ over cheaper models.
-
I let the (good reviews) distract me from the (bad reviews), and there were plenty of those highlighting the same, and other issues (e.g., dropped connections, dead device, poor throughput).Honestly, I expect a lot out of a such an expensive product, but for me, this one didn't deliver, and is not worth keeping, as it's better for me, network performance-wise, to avoid using it all together.
-
This device has worked beyond expectation and brought 4-5 bars upstairs
-
I think it’s probably a great device if it’s compatible with your router
-
This device failed out of the box and the RMA process didn't work due to a known issue.
-
This is great device, especially for what it cost! When I bought the device, I believe it was 49.99 but has come down since
-
The issue is the same across devices, including phones, laptops, tablets, XBox, and my smart home devices.
-
Multiple devices, android and iphone and the app just doesn't work.
-
Absolutely awesome little device and doesn’t break the bank
-
For whatever reason, when on a network with a Netgear Nighthawk, it seems to do something to the network that drastically slows down other wireless devices on the network
-
And some devices like my Ring door bell just got confused by it
-
and it's automatic, but you need compatible AC devices for it to work)
-
Great device
-
For this purpose, the device is working as I had hoped.
-
I've had the device for about a week and this wireless range extender loses its uplink and requires a reboot every hour or two.
-
This device is worth the money, and as an IT consultant, this is somewhat easy to setup for unfamiliar end users.
-
TP-link also doesn't update the firmware either, I wouldn't recommend this device.
-
The devices always show that they are receiving the wi-fi signal, but they periodically lose the internet connection (i.e., data transfer ceases).
-
I used to use a retired Linksys E2700 Wi-Fi router as an Access Point, that device just died yesterday
-
I did notice that the "internet" shows disconnected on the device and if I DID configure the repeater function some wireless devices lost access to the internet, I called TP-Link to RMA the device since my 305 worked so well..
-
Great device with great range for improving signal
-
this device is great when it works but it barely ever works it drops the connection to your main router constantly and does not try to reconnect
-
Like that we can isolate devices with the dual band.
-
I checked and mine is connecting 100% on my portable devices
-
this device amazed me
-
Overall, this is a fast and powerful range extender, equipped with the latest communications technologies to support multiple devices and digital stream
-
The actual TP-LINK RE650 / AC2600 range extender is a decent device.
-
Occasionally certain devices will lag simply unplugging and plugging the extender back into the outlet corrects the problem
-
The device would loose connection with my network and I had to constantly(multiple times during the day or even within the hour) power off and on the device to re-establish connection to the network.
-
All in all, this device is worthwhile, but wasn't the signal boosting beast I was really hoping for at this price point.
-
The device works once in a while.
-
I wanted to love this device, but I experienced stability issues running a 5Ghz network even with firmware upgrades and a replacement
-
The app is very useful, especially when limiting certain devices from accessing the extender, but it can be buggy (iOS)
-
Then I started noticing on my router's config page that a mysterious device was constantly trafficking network at a steady pace (about 1 MB a minute)
-
This results in me unplugging the extender and my close enough devices reconnecting to the router and immediately working
-
(grounded) American plug but can run on 100-240V (50/60Hz); that is, this device will work fine overseas, but you will need a plug adaptor (not a transformer) to plug it into foreign sockets
-
After about 5 months use it, then the device has problem
-
very good device, i have been using it
-
This is no issue for devices in fixed locations such as set top streaming devices, IP cameras and some computers - just choose the router or range extender based on which has the strongest signal.
-
This device delivers like no other
-
Basically, it lets you connect a lot of devices without slowing down the traffic when so many devices are using the internet at the same time (like 8 or more)
-
Adding more and more IoT to my house this device greatly enhanced the usability of and effectiveness.
-
This device boosted my wifi signal beautifully plus I used its Ethernet out port to plug directly into the HD Homerun
-
Excellent device works as so many different things
-
When it works I do like that devices know when you are closer to your main router to switch over to that , than the extender
-
For apparently no reason this device stopped working after 2 days
-
No too happy doesn't work as I though it will.
