    TP-Link AC1200 Dual Band WiFi Range Extender, Repeater, Access Point w/ Mini Housing Design, Extends WiFi to Smart Home & Alexa Devices (RE305)

    • Reading through TP-Link Forums, the RE450 has a well talked about issue with DNS resolution, and various one off fixes that has worked to helped, but users are still needing to restart or hard reset more often then they should
    • I tried the hard reset a number of times before
    • I spoke with tech support, who walked me through the hard reset process a few more times, but unfortunately I found myself with the same results
    • I tried restarting the device, and doing a hard reset, but the best I could do is about 24 hours of connection before the issue persisted
    • After about 2 weeks of conducting a hard reset every day, I returned the product and bought a 100ft ethernet cable and a router, which has presented no issues to date
    • Connectivity would drop, settings would get all borked, and I would have to do a hard reset to get it back online
    • and there's no way to fix it without a hard reset.
