This is false advertising, avoid this product if you are looking for anything higher than 50Mb/s transfer speed.
It's such a joy when technology simply works as advertised.
Pretty good, pretty effective, but not as great as advertised.
We were both stumped as to what the cause could be, but he kept working and trying everything he could think of until it seemed fairly stable, but the problem kept occurring randomly
Although advertised on the box and on Amazon that the speeds can reach up to 500Mbps, the port is a 10/100, already limiting the speeds there
While these work for what I need them for (Ethernet hard-wire for my work phone), they slow speeds considerably
Excellent sound quality, microphone works great on phone
Though the product works fine for my purposes, it is insulting to be sold a product advertising that it is capable of 600Mbps when the product has a 10/100 ethernet interface.
Bottom line: (1) Simplistic instructions, (2) limited working range, and (3) zero customer support.
This has worked wonderfully for us, limiting the number of devices in one room trying to connect via wifi!
It streams just as good as if the ethernet cabke was connected directly to the modem!

They work wonderfully but keep in mind the connection won't be as good as if you were connected to the modem itself

This device works by sending internet signals over the house wiring
The device works, but I bought it because I would randomly get kicked off my wifi in my
So what gives? The thing is that, besides the occasional hardware defects which are covered under warranty ( TP-Link offers 2 years, while most others offer one year), because Powerline uses your existing home electrical wiring for transmitting network data its performance is impacted by the following factors:- Electrical interference from other noisy electrical devices like microwaves, radios or from your local sub-station
Edit: reducing rating by two stars, devices are no longer reliable, frequently dropping connection for several minutes at a time or until units have power reset
I plugged in both units, turned my device on and it worked as if it was hard-wired to an Ethernet cable
If you are intending to use one of these adapters with more than one computer, anticipate slow speeds
Before I had to share my wifi speed with my family, so when all they were connected to the network, the speed was to slow, but with this product I'm connected directly to the router, so the speed is faster
Whenever we use more than one device connected to a switch, the speed is quite slow
Massive improvement in speed vs wifi (maybe 3x - 4x faster speeds!).
These things got me great speed where I couldn't get internet before

It uses your house wiring to transmit wifi to a dead area
Works perfectly, it feels like both are plugged to the same router using an Ethernet cable, not the garbage I had with the Wireless network, however not everything is perfect, there are two power strips that didn't work with this device, one is this: Belkin BE112230-08 12-Outlet Surge Protector, is a shame because to it I have connected all my gaming consoles and I really want it there, but well I already free up an outlet near the TV so the next units arriving will be plugged there, so I will replace the Laptops and Living room devices connectivity from Wireless to Powerline
It worked so well for my desktop computer that I decided to buy another set for my Roku (the WiFi signal can be really weak in my room)
I tried this as my router's wifi signal is weak in our basement.
I researched a little and realized that these will serve my exact purpose as my wifi signal isn't very good due to the factory router that was supplied by our ISP
My router is set in a room a bit of a distance from other rooms where the wifi signal had been weak.
After plugging these in I had great performance and did not have to but a 50 foot ethernet cable
They are very stable as over the course of several weeks, I have never faced any random disconnects, hangs or slowdowns in their performanceTHE GOOD- Fast and stable performance that is miles better for fixing your
My first set degraded (slower performance, spotty connection) after 2 years,
The concept behind them is good but sometimes performance has been hit or miss
then I freed up some direct wall plugs, and plug this into a wall outlet instead of a power strip, trust me they say to plug it into the wall for a reason, and now I am getting better performance than wifi :

I was having some connectivity issues in my 2nd floor office

Since using the Powerline adapter I have had no connectivity issues

Never have any connection issues, and internet is very fast
but I have a connection issue when I use my treadmill that is about four feet from the unit.
A must have to avoid those up and down WiFi connection issues.

I am now getting my Victory Royale's without having to worry about connection issues!
This is definitely a great solution if you need a hard wired Ethernet connection without running cable.
And just like that, I had a flawless wired connection that gets the exact same upload and download speeds as if I was connected directly to the router
The only reason I am deducting 1 star (and I may change this later) is that the raw download speed is not quite as fast as a hard wired ethernet connection
if your like me the people who built your house didn't bother wiring it with ethernet, making you just use wifi
Works very well in my large older home where hard wiring wasn't feasible.
Very important bit of information completely missing from the sale page.
It was lagging a bit while streaming HD video via WiFi on my smart TV
and it's quite a bit slower than just stringing a 100ft ethernet cable through the house all the way back to the garage
WiFi is a bit weak getting from one side of the house where the server and WiFi router is located to the other side.

I got internet to the opposite corner of my house that was previously a VERY dead zone
This unit works great to provide an internet connection where you normally don't have an outlet in your home or to a dead zone where your wireless just isn't cutting it.
I have always had an awful time with my room being a Wifi dead zone and wanted a hard line connection to my PS4
This worked perfectly for my use case - a dead zone in my basement where I needed to stream video (rather than buy another cable box).
I dont know what went wrong recently, but my Alienware was having a HORRIBLE WiFi connection, either because my room itself became a dead zone or because something in my Alienware went wrong

The terms “AV1000” and “1000Mbps” are derived from applicable specifications and refer to the theoretical maximum physical-layer data transfer rate
Those terms are used on this product solely to indicate its compatibility with other “AV1000” or “1000Mbps” powerline devices
Actual data speeds vary and may be limited by the product’s Ethernet port and other network conditions such as data traffic, electrical noise, and wiring issues
For better performance, powerline devices should be deployed on the same electrical circuit and rated for the same HomePlug standard
A minimum of two powerline devices are required to establish a powerline connection
If you are uncertain about your network conditions, you should consult an IT professional to assist in selecting a networking product
About power saving, Actual power saved varies based on network conditions and environmental factors.
