Upgraded the NIC (Network Interface Card) on my desktop at work with this, as we had recently upgraded to gigabit ethernet, but my desktops built in Ethernet card was only 10/100

I had a spare PCI slot and this card was easy to install and does the job of the motherboard Ethernet flawlessly

The card works great out-of-the-box with box Ubuntu 13.10 and Windows 7.

The card is inexpensive and I didn't want to fool with talking with anyone about it, or attempting to return it.

The card works flawlessly with my new Fedora 20 installation (kernel 3.14.3)

Not worth paying to mail it back for warranty (which the owners pamphlet does not mention that there is).Save your time and get a good card off the bat.

Cant take advantage of the 1gb duplex speeds on windows 10but for a cheap card it works

Seems like a good network card - it does not work with the standard "out of the box" ESXi 5.5 software, although I saw claims that it worked "out of the box" with 5.0 which is why I purchased it.

so it picked up the card and works great.

Windows 7 recognized the card and added a generic driver and it worked.

I highly recommend this little card for older motherboards that do not have PCIe or PCI-E slots

The biggest frame you'll be able to send with this card is going to be 4K. For 9K jumbo frames, you'll need to get yourself a real card, like the Intel here

This was the cheapest card that I could find where the reviews were positive

However, this card is 20% slower, and speed tests indicate speeds of between 60-80 Mbits/s, as compared to my previous consistent speed of 105 Mbits/s.

All in all good card that Linux isn't set to work cleanly without some extra steps.

Dropped this one in an open PCI Express slot and have had internet at least as fast as before ever since.
