Placed in our downstairs family room it works perfect grabs the signal from upstairs & runs all our streaming devices just fine .

It is 2.4G only, and can be overrun if you are streaming video, so you may want to limit the other devices that connect to the extender.

I recommend this device for those with families of children not yet using very high bandwidth gaming devices, especially if you have bought the average or normal internet plans from your provider.

Connection would hang frequently - device was connected but progress bar would move part way and then stop.

All devices work at least as well and some much, much better; after experiencing the smooth, fast performance of the Netgear router, I would never want to use this TP-Link router.

I suggest downloading the free "Tether" app after setup for a more user-friendly way to customize the router (2.4G/5G, disabling certain devices, etc).
