Reviews around expect (5.00 of 5)

  • The speed is much faster as expected and worked flawlessly, you do sacrifice an USB port though.
  • Connection was not as strong as expected even while sitting only 10 feet from my router
  • Works as expected and so small you hardly realize its there.
  • I am 1 floor above the router I bought 2 of these = both work as expected, very easy install...delivered fast!
  • Everything works exactly as expected, and signal strength is strong despite the small size of the adapter and my wireless access point being a room over with a few hallway/closet walls in between

Reviews around advertise (4.20 of 5)

  • I wasn't expecting to get stellar ds, but as it is advertised ds is 150mb/
  • For what it's worth, it's not a bad product, just not as advertised in my experience.
  • When I checked the fine print I found out that the green box says that it is compatible with Windows 10 just as advertised, but upon checking the one in the white box it wasn't, it is only compatible up to windows 8.1
  • This is the only real fault about the TP-link, Otherwise, it is small enough to attach to your USB port and so far works as advertised
  • Confirmed with TP-Link, who don't seem to be particularly concerned that the advertising and support is misleading.

Reviews around install (4.11 of 5)

  • I tried the device on a Windows 8.1 tablet, and I had to download a driver, but that was as easy as any other driver install
  • The product failed after less than three months of not so much use, they wouldn’t detect WiFi even when the drivers were installed
  • Once the software was installed there were no further issues and the device is working seamlessly with my computer and network.
  • Second email asked if there were any particular errors when installing drivers
  • It's a very easy install compared to the alternative products out there.

Reviews around fact (3.04 of 5)

  • I dislike the fact that they take up a usb port but since the desktops have tons of ports, it was ok
  • Linux is a piece of crap, garbage operating system which never goes hand in hand with the notion of quality but the fact they did not manage to release the compilable driver did not make the product better either.
  • Works great but did not like the fact that you have to install the full tp link software instead of just the driver in order for it to work.
  • I disabled the built in Wireless Lan card as it caused a huge memory leak.
  • I figured having a bunch of these as spares would work out as I'm never too trusting about the lifetime of these guys.

  • Used on a Lenovo Yoga laptop that had a very poor built in wifi card.
  • The built in WIFI adapter in my 10 year old laptop still works, but I noticed when using a speed tester that it was not downloading or uploading at the speeds that I pay for from my internet provider.

Reviews around port (1.69 of 5)

  • The Plug 'n' Play capability is essential since no modern tablets and most laptops are lacking hardwired Ethernet ports
  • However, my internet signal kept dropping which makes me think I had a bad chord, an issue with the computer, or a bad ethernet port in my office
  • I plugged this into a free USB port on my desktop, and Windows 7 found drivers automatically with no need to install them on my own
  • And, unlike a full dongle, you won't accidentally bump into it while doing something and break the port or dongle
  • Several days ago we had a lightning strike that destroyed the ethernet port on my Mini Tower Dell.

Reviews around error (1.00 of 5)

  • The ONLY reason that I am NOT using this wireless adapter now is because my desktop had a fatal error and died!!!
  • With the drivers given that supposedly let it work with windows 10, it was throttled to about 250 kilobits/s, while reverting to the older drivers it would get full speed but get bad pool error bluescreens, a sign of driver misallocation somewhere
  • Make my computer blue window of death with "critical_usb_error"
