Lackluster speed and poor reception doesn't help either

It worked well at first, the speed was fast enough, but after about half an hour it slowed down, then it stopped working

i've had to buy this to enable 5GHz WiFi on my Linux desktop because my old 2.4GHz dongle was too slow, with the router being across the house, and this model works great, fast speeds, considering the obstacles (rooms, walls).i got it working by doing a git clone of a driver source hosted on github and following the steps to install via DKMS, and wow, well worth the few steps to get it working, very happy.once these drivers get rolled into the Linux kernel in the coming months/year, it will eventually be just plug and play.

Now my signal is fast enough to use my Steam Link at a pretty decent speed without having to run cables.

When they did work, the speed that I got was dismal at best, even though the antenna was less than 10 feet from the wifi router.

Just don't expect this to be some magical wifi device to give you much faster speeds.

I finally upgraded my "came with U-Verse" WiFi dongle with this one that supports the higher speeds if the router I have now.

The antenna consistently pulls in faster speeds than any of my other devices

Even as I went into our living room which is close to the router, I got a worse connection speed than the built in WiFi receiver in my laptop

Update:I fixed my slow speed and disconnecting issues by selecting new channels for the router

Increases WIFI signal as described although had to reinstall Windows 10 which fixed my problem of weak download speed.

This WIFI antenna worked well and delivered good reliability and speed in a Windows 10 PC, for about 6 months, then it stopped working

and I was getting faster speed

Using it in a different level as the router/ modem, great speed and easy to install.
