Excellent instructions and easy process to clone old hard drive to this one and then just swap them out and was up and running with the larger storage in no time!

Plus, they throw in a nice carrying case for the metal case that will hold your old drive, which will function as an external drive.
The real highlight and pleasant surprise, is it comes with a nice metal case to put the old drive in, with a USB cable so you can still use the old one!
I do recommend the case so that you can use this as an external drive when you take the old one out.
And the old SSD is very handy to have around in the nice case that Transcend provides for it.

Performance is fantastic, a great upgrade for 2012 MacBook Air models.
The only thing I'd have liked to see would be even better performance, but that's minor
The performance seems good too, although I no longer have the zeal to download programs and benchmark few kb/s differences in read write speed, the system does feel faster

Works well with my MAC Air Mid 2012 as an upgrade to the built in 256 GIG SSD.
Again, not hard for someone with experience to figure out, but annoying even to me - and to anyone with less experience, a frustrating and unsuccessful upgrade would have resulted

The instructions were missing some key things that extended my installation time by an hour or so, which is the sole reason I knocked off a star
You may not want to buy this product unless you are comfortable following complex instructions associated with software installation and set up
The instructions are very clear, except I missed where it said to use GUID

waste!I knock off one star (but really should be 1/2 or less if Amazon allowed it), because the Trancend JetDrive Toolbox isn't an identified developer as of the latest OS X Mavericks update 5/2/2014.
