Transfer rate with USB3 is great and even USB2 transfer rate is good.

I recommend purchasing the data recovery plan which is inexpensive and a good "just-in-case" back up to your back up

It is very fast using the Super Speed USB 3.0 cable and port too

Nice drive; fast, appears to be very sturdy, good price.

This is a good product especially for GNU/Linux users that require mobility, ruggedness, and portability at an affordable price

The only negative thing I have to remark about the product is the bizarre fact that different outside colors effects the price.

I wanted a compact storage, with high storage capacity,but also a high data transfer rate

But this works amazing and is fast and is so small to store

I chose this product because of it's alleged ease of use and stability with the mac OS, but it's turning out to be just like almost every other dual platform product I've ever used - temperamental & risky, which is not what I want for my important data & back ups.
