So when I was faced with replacing my satellite receiver, I decided to clean up the tangle of cords behind the entertainment center and bring the power switches to the front (again for better power control)
I have been looking for an Under monitor surge protector because it makes better control of what your using or not using
Once hooked up, all the devices are controlled from the front of the protector and it works flawlessly.
They improved our control of computers and surrounding powered devices
Only complaint is that the master switch controls both the entire unit, and it's own plug (would have liked a seperate button).Good buy though!

I feel confident it will protect my computer and other accesories
I like desk-top computers and find this set-up to be very handy
Great product to turn on or shut down your sensitive computer peripherals especially if you have multiple external hard drives.
Loved the design and function of this surge protector, until the time came when it was supposed to protect my desktop computer and monitor

Though I don't use mine front and center in my computer setup (it sits in the corner of an L-shaped desk) it still performs a service greater than most other electronics I own

In spite of the shortcomings, I would recommend the unit.
I'd recommend this low-cost, dependable dependable unit to anyone setting up and using a computer workstation.
This unit, besides providing surge protection, allows me to reset the item without having to crawl under my desk
I would recommend the unit to anyone considering desktop-type surge protection or a power center
My reason for replacing a former surge suppressor was the convenience of having a relatively flat horizontal unit that would fit under a monitor, thereby saving space and being more stable than a previous bulky unit

Fortunately I have never needed the surge protective aspect of the product ( although I would expect it to work as advertised, considering the large amount of insurance coverage included)
works as advertised, I would have like to seen another under monitor model with more switchable outlets
Porduct as advertised, works as intended, protects the computer systems while also providing a convenient method to turn of either the entire system or selected components.
A really good product, works as advertised I bought it several months ago and it’s not let me down yet, Too Pricey
The former Belkin unit lacked an "always on" outlet, so in order to leave modem and router on all the time, I had to leave the Master switch on as well

My old unit didn't have an "always hot" outlet and I really needed one to make my set up complete
The but is because the outlets in the back are not far enough apart to use ac adapter that all peripherals come with today.
The instruction sheet says the following: "Each outlet can handle up to 15 amps, but do not exceed a total of more than 15 amps for all outlets".Lastly, there are 2 phone jacks
I also like the outlet that never turns off even when master is turned off, great for my backup internet battery setup.

The only issue is it is now made with very cheap plastic, not a good quality.

It was cheap, thin plastic that wouldn't hold up even if it did work at all when I received it
I've had this a good long while, and it still seems hot constantly and smells of warm plastic at all times
The plastic is flimsy and the unit did not work out of the box.
