The microphone audio was crystal clear to listeners and had a nice rich sound to it

They do a decent job isolating outside noise and deliver clear audio (for the most part).

Since we're talking about the sound, yes the controller of the PS4 is plenty loud for these (most likely thanks to the amp built in) if you're tired of weak volume from the controller and don't want to purchase a separate amp, this could very well be the one you want to try
