Cheap plastic, they have cracks in them very quickly
-
Works great, handle them gently though, definitely not the most robust plastic and can imagining them breaking if you pull from the bung to forcefully
-
Only concern is the bottom corks are also hard plastic
-
Seems like the plastic is just weak and brittle.
-
What does bother me is the fact that the plastic they're made out of feels somewhat brittle and, dare I say, a bit cheap (which is why I think the one broke in transit)
-
Cheap plastic stopper pops out of 5 gallon carboy with minimal pressure.
-
The plastic is very hard, resulting in the bung just working its way out of the neck, and falling out of the carboy and onto the floor.
-
The bungs are a hard plastic and not rubber, so they really don't flex or fit in anything.
-
I can't tell if these are glass or really hard plastic but they are solid and will hold up for whatever you're making.
-
Very clear plastic with a nice cap with small holes in them
-
These are plastic, which by itself is not a problem, except the plastic is brittle.
-
The product came with inexpensive hard plastic corks that are not very flexible and easily slip out of the bung
-
It's more of a hard plastic then a rubber
-
It is made of hard plastic and not flexible
-
I plan on jerry-rigging them the way some have done, or drilling out corks to use in place of the hard plastic plugs
-
The plastic is too rigid.
-
Like plastic
-
Plastic is safe to avoid cracking or splintering the plastic maintaining its transparency. . . .

At first the plastic felt flimsy, but i dropped one of

Great product, the double chamber is perfect for creating the most secure airlock possible, made of some pretty strong clear plastic and the stoppers fit perfect in my 5gal carboy
-
Made of hard plastic, not rubber has no flex ability to be used as a stopper.
-
The stopper is made from hard plastic.
-
It's a rigid plastic that's somewhat hollow
-
The plastic is very hard, resulting in the bung just working its way out of the neck, and falling out of the carboy and onto the floor.

Caution - the 2 airlocks have a very defined and harsh plastic mold line running from top to bottom.
-
These seem to be almost like hard plastic and don't push down into my 1 gallon carboy mouth very far.
-
Seems like the plastic is just weak and brittle.
-
Broke one just getting it in the bung, made of cheap plastic, bung is large
-
The plastic is very brittle
-
Hard plastic won't fit into a 1 gallon carboy.
-
The bung is solid and works well, the air locks are really cheap plastic and one broke the first time I tried to insert it
-
The base was far too rigid to fit in anything, the clear plastic bits themselves were fine, but the bases weren’t.
-
The caps are clear plastic with a number of small drilled holes.
-
While I appreciate the product, packaging, timeliness, and sturdiness, the stoppers are harder rubber/plastic that what I'm used to - a "rubber stopper" is rubber but these are a bit harder plastic and therefore don't seem to have as much "grip" as rubber.
-
Didn’t even get what was advertised terrible plastic piece of shiiiiiiit
-
As others have mentioned the bung is a soft plastic not extremely flexible but enough to fit into a carboy and hold a seal.
-
The stopper is a rigid white plastic that doesn't flex
-
I ended up buying different bungs because the hard plastic ones didn’t fit snuggly to my 1 gallon bottle
-
the bungs appear pliable, but are a rigid plastic with very little give
-
Plus the airlocks are extremely thin plastic, and probably will crack and split within a few uses.
-
They're not rubber, more of a soft plastic.
-
These are great in theory, but they really need to be handled only with the gentlest of hands because they're so fragile, made of very thin, brittle plastic
-
Don’t waste your money and effort in this piece of junk as it will not stay in your bottle top!
-
it works as it should.
-
Works as you expect
-
Work exactly as I’d hoped.
