Ubiquiti Networks Unifi 802.11ac Dual-Radio PRO Access Point (UAP-AC-PRO-US)

    • It replaced 3 access points and has much better coverage.
    • Surprisingly great coverage, easy to configure (I use it in conjunction with the Cloud Key) and kick myself for not moving to Ubiquity sooner
    • Excellent Coverage!
    • Coverage is fantastic, aesthetically most think it's a smoke detector, and the blue light serves as a classy night light (can be turned off if so desired)FYI I have used BV-Tech POE switches as well as
    • I get great coverage on all 3 floors, corner to corner to corner.
    • great coverage in a large office
    • Every room in the house gets great coverage, and I even have awesome coverage outside as well! The captive portal and guest network work great (I use Unfi for this, not the Sophos XG), I have a separate SSID for my smart home components and TV's, and my primary SSID that assigns VLANs based on Radius auth (FreeRadius, also running on the same RPi as the controller

    • Once installed the UI is great, AP signal excellent with good coverage area.
    • Great coverage for a 2 story 1800 sq ft house
    • I purchased this access point hoping it would be the only one I needed, but with the knowledge that if I needed more than one, it would be easy to build a meshed network of these APs to achieve ideal coverage in my home
    • The coverage is extremely effective in my large house
    • The throughput of this access point is far better than what my wifi router was able to provide and I have great coverage across my home.
    • There is a map that you can input into the web portal and drop AP's on it and see the rough coverage, which can help you see where you need to place them
    • Works great and has good coverage
    • You will get "stupid good coverage" as the young kids say.
    • I now also get coverage to the street in front of my house as well as my entire back

    • Went from a Linksys wrt1900ac that had troubles getting full coverage and no coverage outside the brick walls, to one of these (brick house is maybe 2500sq
    • The product is very good, I like its architecture, features and capabilities, but the wireless coverage is really disappointing, I was really surprised and amazed that a chip consumer grade device provided way too better coverage than this WAP.
    • Great coverage for apartment
    • I now have the best WiFi coverage for my house, this product was an amazing upgrade from my dual band ASUS router
    • Setup was very simple, and I have great coverage with plenty of speed.
    • I have two of these setup in my house and my coverage and overall speed is very good
    • The coverage is seamless: as I move around my house, my phone seems to transition to whichever accesspoint is closest and has the best signal!Update: I later added a second one of these so that I could entirely disable the cruddy wifi on my Xfinity modem
    • so i decided it would try their AP to get better coverage on my top floor
    • There are cheaper options, but if you want capacity and good coverage, especially if you are wanting to avoid the need for other stations, then this one is a good fit.
    • so I returned my two AC Pros (and my network geek "street cred") for the Orbi and have been thrilled with the awesome whole property coverage but really miss the Unifi Controller SW.
    • This access point provides wonderful coverage through our three story home where the prior linksys router (which cost 3 times as much) failed to cover more than half our home
    • Never drops and gives great coverage in our 1800sqft house
    • Great coverage and very easy to install / setup.
    • Note: Going with a dedicated wired-only router for routing, switch (for wired clients), modem, and separate wireless AP like this one, is becoming more common: the setup can include multiple APs, provide you better wireless coverage, and can much better manage a large blend of clients and ensure bandwidth needs are met.
    • With one of these mounted upstairs and one downstairs, we have full coverage of the entire house... and technically our neighbor's house, backyard, front yard, towards the end of the street.... you get the idea... coverage is great!I'm only taking advantage of a few of the more advanced features... minimum RSSI, multiple ESSID's, but they've been working really well
    • We're using two of these in a single level 3,200 square foot home and the coverage and speed is amazing
    • The coverage is fantastic, being POE helps make deployment a lot easier, and they are stated to be weather resistant

    • I was looking for a wifi access point to provide better coverage in my house than i was getting with my expensive wifi router.
    • Granted these are not meant have the range of consumer big honkin' routers but meant to be used in a small area with many users and handover to adjacent APs to provide consistent coverage.
    • Coverage is great.
    • Coverage is excellent with no blank spots in my (1,200 sq ft) home
    • Coverage in my one level home is perfect
    • Inside the house, the only place with less than excellent coverage is a far corner of my basement
    • Super easy setup, especially with a Cloud Key on your network, great coverage and throughput.
    • Finally getting good coverage!
    • Wireless setup was simple, and coverage is outstanding.

    • Great coverage, great management, looks awesome
    • easy, insanely well put together, coverage in spades.
    • Definitely enterprise level equipment, but works amazingly well in my 2200 sq ft split level house with great coverage throughout
    • Over 100 ft. away out into the yard I have strong coverage where it was completely dark before.
    • Have two of the dual band AP in the home and one in the man cave, so I have excellent coverage while hopping from one AP to the other
    • This is a high-speed, great-coverage, high-power
    • 2-story home, but coverage was still spotty and my connection would often drop back to 2.4Ghz in my office, partly due to interference from my neighbors' Wi-Fi networks
    • Coverage and speed absolutely destroy my run of the mill consumer wifi
    • Finally achieving great coverage with impressive speeds
    • The product is very good, I like its architecture, features and capabilities, but the wireless coverage is really disappointing, I was really surprised and amazed that a chip consumer grade device provided way too better coverage than this WAP.
    • I don't think I will be needing that feature due to the impressive coverage of this Access Point
    • but my 5ghz coverage has improved dramatically
    • I took it up in the attic and layed it on top of the insulation over the room I wanted good WiFi coverage, plugged in PoE Network cable and it has been running ever since.
    • so I have an AC Lite on the other side and, between the two, my entire place has great wi-fi coverage.
    • Excellent coverage and easy to configure.
    • I'm not a networking pro, but knew that I'd get better coverage in my house with this one.
    • Much better coverage than the typical consumer WiFi routers.
    • Better coverage than regulat consumer priducts.
    • Coverage and speed is fantastic and the handoff when moving from room to room in the house was seamless
    • Works great as an AP, great coverage and reliability/uptime is superb
    • set up central access point for better WiFi coverage FANTASTIC coverage
    • You will get "stupid good coverage" as the young kids say.
    • Coverage is excellent in my modest 1300 sq
    • Coverage is better than the Cisco 1242's that these replaced
    • They are well made, use very little power, great coverage and so easy to manage.
    • Great coverage
    • Some corners of the house were not getting good coverage
    • Excellent coverage and strong signal.
    • I am now getting great coverage all over the house with a single access point
    • I'll probably add another unit for complete, strong coverage.
    • While the total coverage isn’t as good as it was with the mesh network (it’s still pretty impressive for a single unit
    • Installed this AP in a fairly central location on 2nf floor of house, now have solid coverage everywhere
    • Provides ample coverage throughout the home
    • Excellent coverage!
    • Coverage is good everywhere in the house (about 2600 square feet) on 5 and 2.4 Ghz bands

    • Awesome WAP full coverage on 165m2 bungalow including outside on the deck
    • Both had features that could meet our needs to provide excellent coverage throughout our building
    • Easy to setup, phenomenal coverage.
    • Today I aded the ProAC Dual-Radio unit to the mix to get a bit better bandwidth in the main section of the house and to repurpose one of the lesser units to the garage for better outdoor coverage.
    • Once set up, these things just hum along and work very well and provide great WiFi coverage.
    • Great wireless coverage in a difficult house
    • I have it in a horrible location (all the way in one corner of my home) and I get good coverage all the way on the other side of the
    • coverage in my back yard as well.
    • I even get decent coverage out on the deck
    • is the house on the 2nd floor and the coverage is great.
    • Coverage is great, options are endless
    • The AP is mounted in my hallway so that its centrally located and provides excellent coverage over the entire house.
    • The coverage is also excellent
    • just have it sitting on a shelf for now and coverage is still good.
    • Good coverage for the entire of perimeter.
    • I get amazing coverage
    • These devices replaced the cable company supplied router that somewhat worked but had poor WiFi coverage
    • The reward is that it provides excellent coverage if you can master the technology software.
    • Provides seamless coverage over 3 floors.
    • If you are in the market for great WIFI coverage, easy to use, and easily expandable, Ubiquiti is the way to go
    • If you are already getting good coverage everywhere in your home/office, this may not be as useful for you
    • This gives me the benefit of having seamless coverage and not compete with the flood of interference from my neighbors
    • I'm also getting great coverage on our screen porch outside, which used to be in a Wi-Fi shadow from the Extreme, but too far from an Express to get a reliable signal
    • and then some even with sub-optimal placement due to the fact that I have not yet taken the time to properly cable the house to put the APs in the best place for optimal coverage.
    • Loving the expanded coverage in the house.
    • Full coverage roaming handoff works great

    • Coverage is very good
    • The outdoor AP actually gives great coverage for my house, but me being crazy, I wanted an AP in the house for even better coverage
    • Installation was easy and I have great coverage in my house.
    • I had better coverage and better speed compared to the old set-up of NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900s in both speedtest.net tests and real-world usage
    • This unit has been providing perfect, solid, unwavering coverage throughout my house (2 stories, 2400 sq
    • And good coverage range for home usage.
    • I was worried something would not work as it was not as complicated as expected
    • Great as always
    • Coverage is fantastic, aesthetically most think it's a smoke detector, and the blue light serves as a classy night light (can be turned off if so desired)FYI I have used BV-Tech POE switches as well as
    • as good as or better than Cisco or Aruba APs that I worked with that came out 2 years ago
    • So, 3 stars for that nightmare of a setup with Ubiquity's software, but kudos to the tech team (they always answer your chat message within 5 minutes, at least in my experience), as well as how good the price to performance is with their products.
    • Works exactly as I expected, love the fact that I don't need two separate SSIDs for the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz like a typical SOHO solution
    • My signal at one end of the house is just as strong as at the other end.
    • (I don't have any in-house streaming like a Plex server.)I really appreciate the PoE support as it has made it very easy to run a long Cat5e cable to wherever I want in to place the AP in my attic with no need to run another cable for power
    • We have 10 of these in one location as well as in other offices
    • Both 2.4 and 5G work great
    • the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it insists on fixing on a very weak 5g channel even though I configured it to something else.
    • No bandsteering so most of the clients connect to the slower 2g and not the AC enabled 5g.
    • This thing supports dual 2.4/5G and 802.11ac and has extremely powerful radios, so it is an excellent choice for a modern home network -- for example, using Sonos devices for streaming high quality audio with no lag
    • Like that both the 2G and 5G SIDs can be the same name (previous AP wouldn't allow that).
    • I have always used Cisco and Aruba products and tried this and all I can say is WOW what an awesome platform and along with the Unifi controller it gives an amazing g amount of onsite into your networK/RF environment and it keeps getting better with every firmware update I keep getting more
    • so I ended up just disabling the 2g radio entirely to force 5g from that AP
    • I was looking more for a stronger 5G so picked up a 2nd one to fill in the gaps
    • 5G signal is somewhat lacking in strength but the 2G seems solid
