    • At work we have a few older routers / AP's that we still keep the radios on, (same AP name) and although it doesn't work as a real mesh network, the computers can connect to one AP and then auto-swap to the other AP when signal from the first AP gets too weak (we are bringing them into arenas for temporary installations/events, so we need to convert a huge area)
    • Stable bandwidth, devices behind several walls still get decent signal, supports many professional settings if you really want to customize for your network.

    • One of them tried and did essentially the same thing as I, and no luck
    • I'm so happy to finally have a commercial-grade Wi-Fi system that's as solid and reliable as I want it to be.
    • Both 2.4 and 5G work great
    • the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it insists on fixing on a very weak 5g channel even though I configured it to something else.
    • No bandsteering so most of the clients connect to the slower 2g and not the AC enabled 5g.
    • This thing supports dual 2.4/5G and 802.11ac and has extremely powerful radios, so it is an excellent choice for a modern home network -- for example, using Sonos devices for streaming high quality audio with no lag
    • Like that both the 2G and 5G SIDs can be the same name (previous AP wouldn't allow that).
    • I have always used Cisco and Aruba products and tried this and all I can say is WOW what an awesome platform and along with the Unifi controller it gives an amazing g amount of onsite into your networK/RF environment and it keeps getting better with every firmware update I keep getting more
    • so I ended up just disabling the 2g radio entirely to force 5g from that AP
    • I was looking more for a stronger 5G so picked up a 2nd one to fill in the gaps
    • 5G signal is somewhat lacking in strength but the 2G seems solid
    • I have a couple laptops that only support B/G/N that still had issues, but replaced the wifi in them with USB 802.11ac cards and they also work fantastically now
    • I was worried something would not work as it was not as complicated as expected
    • Great as always
    • Coverage is fantastic, aesthetically most think it's a smoke detector, and the blue light serves as a classy night light (can be turned off if so desired)FYI I have used BV-Tech POE switches as well as
    • as good as or better than Cisco or Aruba APs that I worked with that came out 2 years ago
    • So, 3 stars for that nightmare of a setup with Ubiquity's software, but kudos to the tech team (they always answer your chat message within 5 minutes, at least in my experience), as well as how good the price to performance is with their products.
    • Works exactly as I expected, love the fact that I don't need two separate SSIDs for the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz like a typical SOHO solution
    • My signal at one end of the house is just as strong as at the other end.
    • (I don't have any in-house streaming like a Plex server.)I really appreciate the PoE support as it has made it very easy to run a long Cat5e cable to wherever I want in to place the AP in my attic with no need to run another cable for power
    • We have 10 of these in one location as well as in other offices
