Amazing units that just get better each software / firmware upgrade.

Solid dual radio unit that has easily disturbed Wi-Fi throughout my whole house

Outstanding unit.

We were starting to have devices drop off with the non pro and needed a reliable unit for the kids wireless and socially distanced school needs.

A better judge of the units - and I wish I had looked before - was the Ubiquiti forums, where this unit gets panned for this reason: you lose the access and ability to manage the devices

They don't fail, have better range, you can stack multiple units together to make 1 large wireless network, and it comes with management software that allows you to look at everything with respect to your wireless network.

These units are great as they're dual band, use a single SSID and if the area you're at is saturated with wifi (such as an apartment complex) one of these will be your best friend as it'll select least populated bands for better range and speeds

I figured I would replace it with a more up to date stronger unit

The unit is not that hard to setup you just need to follow a YouTube video.

Now my old unit wasn't slow by any means but was incapable of most of the new features

The forums at least had clear answers - that these units are junk - and I was wasting time after wasting money

This unit worked

the unit work great.... strong signal most area of my house... and the features are a bundle... a lot to play with.

The support for simultaneous 2.4 and 5GHz access allows us to continue using some older gear, a nice benefitShort of enterprise grade Meraki APs this unit is the best AP I've ever used.

I convinced the IT firm I work for to use these instead of VERY expensive FortiAP units

Dirt simple setup and configuration, range is fantastic, looks good too so mounting additional units doesn't look bad

Ubiquiti quickly replaced the faulty unit for me.

I've been using Ubiquiti APs for several years and now that the software has been improved, these units are really a no brainer for anybody that needs anything more than the standard garbage router that is provided with most internet service

The square unit got very hot and made a buzzing sound when it failed.

This unit has done the trick and hopefully will provide years of solid service.

I do recommend this unit for small businesses or for homes where the homeowner is tech savvy.

Here's the reason for the headline - these are very reliable units and work well, but too many people expect a new WAP to work miracles, magically filling a 4,000 square foot house with signal or massively improving transfer speeds, but what I found is the signal strength and Wi-Fi speeds were largely the same as the gear they replaced

I have lived in various apartment complexes over the past years and this unit is perfect

These units are outstanding

I liked the single units with their own POE

but then an IT friend recommended these units

I recommend this unit and the brand

I own a small IT company and these units have made my life better and my customers happier than ever

The unit was easy to install on the ceiling

Network setup was identical; either I received a defective unit or this thing is not nearly as performant as my Netgear

The unit works as expected however its firmware included was somewhat dated and had to be manual updated to get working.

They make great mesh networking units too.

These units consistently outperform most others, especially when considering cost and features

I have a couple laptops that only support B/G/N that still had issues, but replaced the wifi in them with USB 802.11ac cards and they also work fantastically now

One of them tried and did essentially the same thing as I, and no luck

I'm so happy to finally have a commercial-grade Wi-Fi system that's as solid and reliable as I want it to be.
