  • But if you have a bunch of these at a site or sites, I can see how useful it would be!It works great as a single access point
  • I would recommend this access point for those that need outdoor coverage.
  • in that application it's a very nice access point which covers both my whole home and a good part of my back yard with a good and reliable signal and it was fairly easy to setup/configure
  • and I've been looking for a good outdoor access point that's easy to install and setup
  • The same access points also supports the public/student access point on its own VLAN

  • Arrived on time and in great shape Awesome Access point upped my throughput by 20Mbs
  • This access point, like the other ones from Ubiquiti, works great

  • This review is for the UAP-AC-M-PRO-USThe UAP-AC-M-PRO-US is a great access point for helping extend the reach of your network, but having said that, it seems to be very temperamental as far as range goes, depending on a huge number of factors

Reviews around connection (5.00 of 5)

  • It gives me good range and a reliable connection with both 2.4 and 5Ghz frequencies
  • It will automatically uplink to the AP is has the strongest connection with
  • The smaller one did cover my whole yard, but I get a great connection with this one almost two
  • it's rated range and meshed to a distance, smaller access point (this connection did not stay stable - because it was outside the rated range - but I was impressed with the distance).

Reviews around product (5.00 of 5)

  • The products are affordable, reliable, and easy to set up despite the fact they are marketed as enterprise products
  • White I have network hardware from other vendors in this network and others I manage, it seems to me that Ubiquiti offers some well developed products

  • Both Access points have the same wireless network names so the wifi capable devices can switch seamlessly if they have to
  • ADOPTIONAdopting this AP is as easy as any other Unifi device

Reviews around software (5.00 of 5)

  • Pros:Great software and support
  • Right now Ubiquiti has the best software tools for mesh network configuration.
  • I used the Unifi Software to adopt it, and it worked without any issues

Reviews around thing (5.00 of 5)

  • One thing I'd wish for is if they'd sell it in multiple colors or have covers for it that won't influence reception; I'd love a dark brown so it disappears against the color of the house.
  • First impression when removing from the box was "this thing is solid and heavy" when compared to run of the mill residential routers and APs
  • initial setup is tricky, but after that this thing just works great with no problems.
  • The good thing is that there are no dead zones I observed, the 2mbps is not fast at all but you still have a connection, no matter where you are - that also looks like it should be best in a public area where everyone would have internet but not the fastest

Reviews around network (5.00 of 5)

  • I've deployed several Unifi wireless networks, and they always work flawlessly,
  • I have one of the best home networks in town.
  • If you want a strong mesh network that works well with many clients get these.

Reviews around speed (3.86 of 5)

  • COMPARISON to the non-pro version - Ubiquiti UAP-AC-M-US-The Pro version is 3x3 MIMO and may supply 50% faster ideal transmission speeds than the non-pro version which is 2x2
  • Cons:Horrible speed performance
  • The antenna design gives it a very good range but it is so slow, a weaker signal from a budget AC 2x2 router achieves greater speed from the same distance than this 3x3.

Reviews around setup (3.68 of 5)

  • Setup was very easy, similar to other UniFi access points
  • initial setup is tricky, but after that this thing just works great with no problems.
  • Physical setup was easy - just plug in the POE adapter (or use your existing POE equipment), and ethernet cable.
  • initial setup is tricky, but after that this thing just works great with no problems.

Reviews around performance (3.61 of 5)

  • Cons:Horrible speed performance
  • In a very noisy city environment I am getting excellent range and performance from the unit.
  • Performance is really good but surprisingly range is an issue
  • The Ubiquiti APs are excellent for mesh environments where you have several APs to get the coverage you need, and you want the best radio and network performance for clients within this area
  • We've been using the OpenMesh line of products for years, but lamented over poor performance, lack of IPv6 support, and other issues

Reviews around range (3.50 of 5)

  • Range was disappointing, returned product.
  • For me, my usable range seems to be in the 100-150ft radius.
  • Performance is really good but surprisingly range is an issue
  • The antenna design gives it a very good range but it is so slow, a weaker signal from a budget AC 2x2 router achieves greater speed from the same distance than this 3x3.
