  • This was done with the latest firmware release as of February 2017 and did NOT use clearly recorded numbers and locations but rather a general location to location internet speed test (all recorded speeds at the testing ranges used were lower than our max internet speed which is to be expected but not desired with a 300mbps line).I have no doubt that this is a good device and I am sure it handles a larger number of clients compared to the cheaper Unifi radios, however if you are looking for range or speed enhancements over a given
  • and I'm not sure one household could have enough devices to make this thing flinch.
  • New devices capable of AC will benefit the most, but coverage on all bands is amazing and user interface is one of the most powerful consumer control panels that you will find.
  • It's a good device and is a good price for the technology that it delivers.
  • we had dead spots in our house and the UAP-AC-HD fixed that and gave us better wifi speeds then our old device

Reviews around thing (5.00 of 5)

  • They should include some tools inside the package to unlock it, good thing I didnt have to....but when I do, its going to be a pain
  • Not to mention, the thing looks sweet on the wall with the soft blue ring.

Reviews around software (5.00 of 5)

  • Also with Cisco you need a contract to get their latest software, Unifi keep on improving the software and its part of the deal when you buy their AP
  • The feature list on paper is impressive and the software to manage them is beautiful and easy to use
  • So let me spell it out for you if you buy this access point: Once you create your account and log in via the free Controller software (available for Windows, Mac, and Linux), immediately add your email's SMTP server in case a password issue arises

Reviews around point (5.00 of 5)

  • I would recommend these, in combination with a Cloud Key, to anyone looking for a good Access Point.
  • Otherwise, even a super capable Access Point would not give you full speed as you have expected.
  • If you are in the market for the best WiFi Access Point and can follow instructions on the internet to set this guy up, dont look any further

Reviews around feature (5.00 of 5)

  • I wish there is a feature where you choose white/blue light to turn on, even nicer if there is a motion sensor like Nest protect
  • Works well, feature rich but most importantly handles bulk connections well
  • I dont have USG instead Edgerouter, so my WAN side were greyed out, maybe I will change it to USG when they release the next version of it.- Adopt and Upgrade, that seems to be logical feature...but some enterprise AP need some skills to integrate it to the network

Reviews around ap (5.00 of 5)

  • For home users with little technical knowledge, this probably isn't a good AP for you
  • Cant wait to test these in more demanding environments, but definitely an awesome AP so far.

Reviews around user interface (5.00 of 5)

  • What I like about this AP :- User interface is good, you can access the controller from cloud and if you have all Unifi system, you can see your network in a
  • I purchased the UAP-AC-HD and it was pretty easy to install, had a very good user interface, and worked very well.. for six days.

Reviews around speed (4.40 of 5)

  • I have more channels going, more devices connected, and actually gained some speed.
  • In fact I seem to get better speed from the Linksys router 250 then I do the APs 200
  • I wanted better range, faster speed, better configuration (parental controls) and better reporting options
  • the first one I bought died 4 hours after hookup, actually it would just power cycle (it happens), but not this one... rock solid / amazing speed
  • I used to have one Apple Airport in the middle of my house which was fine but really not Ludicrous speed

Reviews around performance (4.40 of 5)

  • We have significant better performance in our older home.
  • The enterprise/professional grade solutions seemed overpriced and preferring maybe stability, features and support to performance I have been disappointed for my use cases
  • decent yet simple feature sets and consumer grade (i.e much higher) performance
  • Pros: - Ubiquiti products have great aesthetics and performance
  • I am facing possibly scrapping my entire Unifi network because performance is so poor.

Reviews around access (4.30 of 5)

  • Problem #1: I lost login access to my UniFi Controller account, a true mystery
  • POE provides flexibility in AP deployment.- Guest Hotspot with Portal supporting paid access, free and voucher based access, with configurable time/bandwidth limiting.- Wireless uplink, allows wireless coverage to be extended by linking AP's together
  • I would recommend these, in combination with a Cloud Key, to anyone looking for a good Access Point.
  • Otherwise, even a super capable Access Point would not give you full speed as you have expected.

Reviews around throughput (4.16 of 5)

  • I tested just about all AC models and with iphone X, iphone 6, ipad pro and ipad air, the fastest throughput on the market.
  • The throughput is amazing and they provide excellent coverage
  • Poor Range (even on high power)Poor Throughput (unless your sitting right next to it)Poor configuration options
  • Now if I could get somewhat stable throughput numbers I might believe that this is some kind of trade off for an enterprise grade device AP trying to balance stability over speed for multiple users but there is nothing stable about those numbers
  • Setup was pretty simple, coverage is great, and throughput is awesome

Reviews around coverage (4.16 of 5)

  • Coverage was super far and no delays, as good or better than the PRO thats for sure
  • New devices capable of AC will benefit the most, but coverage on all bands is amazing and user interface is one of the most powerful consumer control panels that you will find.
  • Thus, the UAP-AC-HD is probably a good choice in areas where there will be many, many users and the UAP-AC-Pro may be a better choice where greater coverage and fewer users is required.
  • The throughput is amazing and they provide excellent coverage

Reviews around product (4.10 of 5)

  • Ala and all great product and had quick response when I asked about support for 110 or 220 power
  • Ubiquiti is a great company, they make good products for the $$
  • These are a great upgrade on what was already a solid product
  • Product is a big disappoint!!
  • You need to email and wait for a response.. there should be phone support for new buyers.. cannot recommend this product.. sorry......

Reviews around range (3.75 of 5)

  • Goes up easy, great range, easy to setup, inconspicuous.
  • Never had an issue out of any product (besides the Cloud Key), but this has great range and very stable.
  • I wanted better range, faster speed, better configuration (parental controls) and better reporting options
  • It's been in a week now and other than downtime due to config tweaks and getting the controller software onto a container running on an existing device, it's been rock solid and great range.
  • This is a buy, range is fantastic and the connections never drop.

  • Setup is ridiculous.
  • Easy setup but a ton of options if you want them.
