    UDI U818A 2.4GHz 4 CH 6 Axis Gyro RC Quadcopter with Camera RTF Mode 2

    • Great little quad, perfect for a beginner

    • For a cheap quad cop, it's pretty fun, I found out that if you buy a 1200mah battery it will double the flight time to 10 min.

    • Quite a few online forums and websites recommened the UDI U818A as a good rugged quad to start off with, this was why I chose the UDI
    • It is an amusing little quad, with red, white and blue LED's that do make it look like a UFO at night
    • but it would have been a nice quad if not for the defect

    • Unfortunately, it also means this quad is very susceptible to any breeze or wind faster than 4 or 5mph.

    • QUAD CRASHED BENDING
    • I returned the item and bought a better quad.
    • While these units are lightweight and can be a challenge to fly in modest wind, such experience will provide the pilot valuable "seat of the pants" flying skills that may prove useful with larger (more expensive) quads in unexpected situations
    • It's crashed a couple of times and we still haven't broken a
    • I did notice that one of the "trim" levers seem to not respond...not sure if this is functioning as designed or if it is "in fact" broken as I don't have another one to compare.

    • It feels cheap (with flexible plastic), but that makes it flexible and robust as when it hits wall or ground, it does not break
