Great little quad, perfect for a beginner

Like all cheaper quads, the U818A doesn't hold up all that well in winds

GREAT QUAD COPTER!!

The quad feels flimsy, but it is surprisingly durable

Other than my usual issue with the battery and the flight time, this quad is much better than others I have tried in terms of functionality.

Good quad to learn on

My college age son is thrilled and has already ordered himself 3-4 extra batteries to increase the amount of time he can spend airborne and filming and has dedicated himself to mastering this machine before moving on to a more powerful quad.

The one thing I came across repeatedly was to start off with a good quality low cost quad before you spend a large amount of money getting a big drone

Solid Quad

For a cheap quad cop, it's pretty fun, I found out that if you buy a 1200mah battery it will double the flight time to 10 min.

Awesome quad copter, fun to play with outside even in a slight wind.

Quite a few online forums and websites recommened the UDI U818A as a good rugged quad to start off with, this was why I chose the UDI

It is an amusing little quad, with red, white and blue LED's that do make it look like a UFO at night

but it would have been a nice quad if not for the defect

This is an excellent deal on an good, cheap, beginners quad-copter.

Unfortunately, it also means this quad is very susceptible to any breeze or wind faster than 4 or 5mph.

Overall, however, great quad, just be careful with the blades.

So tbh i'm lowkey pissed that I have to go back and buy a new one, but overall it's definitely a great quad, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I would recommend this quad if your looking for an entry level drone.

had this since the end of Feb. and while the original battery did die it didn't short the quad and replacements are cheap.

I would definitely recommend this as a first quad.

Within five minutes of getting this charged up, I couldn't understand why everyone isn't issued a quad at birth.

Flew it once and it flew awesome, could not ask for a smoother flying quad, it's not flown hardly at all since, it cuts off in mid air, maybe 30 seconds into the flight, maybe 2 minutes

Totally recommended as a good quad toy for the kids

After purchasing this quad copter for my 16 year old son I have to say it is a Great Quad Copter at a great price.

Not only because of the smooth operation and stable flight, but despite its light weight, the 818A is a very durable quad

QUAD CRASHED BENDING

I returned the item and bought a better quad.

While these units are lightweight and can be a challenge to fly in modest wind, such experience will provide the pilot valuable "seat of the pants" flying skills that may prove useful with larger (more expensive) quads in unexpected situations

I did notice that one of the "trim" levers seem to not respond...not sure if this is functioning as designed or if it is "in fact" broken as I don't have another one to compare.
