UGREEN Network Adapter USB 3.0 to Ethernet RJ45 Lan Gigabit Adapter for 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Supports Nintendo Switch Black

    • I bought this because the development board that I am using as a home file server only has a fast ethernet (100Mb/s) port
    • I have a faster Ethernet than WiFi
    • Since ethernet is available at the doc location, bought this to support the wired connection.
    • I performed basic troubleshooting to isolate the problem, including: testing the ethernet cable (it works), testing the Switch Dock port (it can charge my phone, so the port isn't dead), and using this adapter with an ethernet cable on my computer (it works). My educated guess is that a recent Switch system update nullified this adapter's Switch compatibility
    • This allows same fast Ethernet connection through a fast USB 3.0 port
    • For just a little bit over a third of the price of a genuine Apple Thunderbot Gigabit Ethernet dongle, this item has great value
    • Inspiron laptop has a defective Ethernet jack
    • Allowed me to get back onto fast internet despite the busted ethernet port on my laptop
    • But the fact that it works so slowly really takes the ‘fast ethernet’ concept out of this product.
    • Its super easy to set up, and gives me fast reliable Ethernet on my switch
    • If you hate using your WiFi and don't have an available Ethernet port, then this is an excellent product to solve that problem
    • I'll be keeping this in my laptop bag and using it mostly to configure Ethernet devices like routers that require a wired connection.
    • I plugged it into three different Ethernet cables - that all worked just fine - and this did not work at all
    • bought*Network Adapter, Anker USB 3.0 to RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Supporting 10/100/1000
    • Excellent little device to provide a speedy Ethernet connection to a device without an Ethernet port or to give your current machine a faster connection port via USB
    • but I'm hesitant in adding something for h/w that should work natively
