  • excellent quality. used this to replace an old uniden scanner that was over 20 years old.
  • The audio quality is excellent from the small front mounted speaker and sounds like the audio has been contoured for voice.
  • I also recommend hooking up an external speaker for best audio quality.
  • I bought this hoping it would have a better audio quality than the small handheld baefeng that I also have.
  • Speaker is plenty loud for my small office and the quality is good

Reviews around value (5.00 of 5)

  • This is an incredible value if the city you live in uses an analog public safety system for fire and police radio, such as Long Beach, California.
  • Once that was done things worked as in the manual and on Youtube

Reviews around product (4.64 of 5)

  • There are some tricks you need to know , unless you have used a scanner before .All in all this scanner does everything I need it to do , great product ,thank you Uniden
  • Great product, get much more channels than my older unit.
  • If your location is still using analog for public safety (police, fire, etc) or perhaps you just want to listen in on amateur 6m, 10m, 2m, 70cm FM analog bands, you’ll like this product.
  • Terrible product

Reviews around reception (4.33 of 5)

  • Antenna connector inside unit is loose or broken, no reception
  • It gets good reception with the stock antenna, but I hooked it up to my j-pole that I have optimized for GMRS/UHF ham.
  • If you don't live in an urban setting, I recommend connecting an external antenna, as this will provide much better reception than the plug-in antenna included with the scanner.
  • This scanner is getting good reception and it is plenty loud if you need to turn it up.
  • It gets great reception and I live several miles out in the county.

Reviews around radio (4.30 of 5)

  • This is a very capable radio that will monitor any analog frequency from 25 to 512 MHz
  • Bad packaging and bad radio scanner!
  • The downside is the radio is sensitive enough it may pick up an alert on a channel that's fairly far away
  • This is a good police scanner radio at a reasonable price of about $87.00
  • There's no issue with picking up an alert from further away.]This is a great scanner for the price if live in an area that still has analog conventional public safety channels, but it's also great radio if you're an aviation enthusiast or railfan

Reviews around feature (4.30 of 5)

  • The radio works well and the automatic weather radio (toggled on and off by a sliding switch) is a nice feature
  • Delay is a good feature so you won’t miss when a station replies to another station, whether it’s public safety (police, fire, etc) or us amateurs ragchewing
  • This scanner has lots of great features such as a priority channel, FM radio, clock/alarm clock functions, lighted display, and battery back-up for programmed frequencies/clock in case of power failure.
  • Delay is a good feature so you won’t miss when a station replies to another station, whether it’s public safety (police, fire, etc) or us amateurs ragchewing
  • I like the features and construction but I am having a great deal of difficulty programming this unit?

Reviews around sound (3.22 of 5)

  • Sound is loud and clear.
  • The unit is smart and versatile, but the speakers sound awful
  • Radio does not have good sound, and you can't listen to the radio and the scanner at the same time.
  • The sound isn't bad for a small speaker and it's LOUD.
  • a lot of static good sound otherwise
