Only 4/5 because of no SWR and no one-touch emergency, but paired with a good antenna you can't go wrong with this for the money.
-
Get the radio, get you a good quality antenna like Firestik, K40, Wilson, or another good name brand
-
I used this radio on the way back, and was able to reach people up to 5 miles away, which was great! unfortunatly on the way back, I had to take my antenna off because everytime a semi passed us on the road, it would blow my antenna off the truck
-
Worked fine IF we had brought a better antennae.

Pair it with a good antenna and you have a CB that works just as good as the $

I can't impress enough that a 'good' antenna is imperative.-Cons - The stock mic is cheaply made with passable modulation
-
,.conect a ciggarette adapter to it and keep a spare antenna like a mag mount and slap on any vehicle or a friends car for a road trip.
-
Put a good antenna with it and be amazed at what you can hear as well as how well you can get out to others
-
An inexpensive CB on a good antenna will perform just as well as a high-end CB on a cheap antenna.

Like any CB unit, the antenna (or antennas) makes all the difference.
-
You just need to get a damn good antenna.
-
and I would make sure you keep a good eye on your SWR for this reason, as I'm sure a higher SWR would burn this unit up as it does not have a SWR danger indicator, and seeing as how it gets a little warm even using a good antenna properly tuned
-
Just invest in good antennas.
-
Either way, get a good quality antenna and have a friend with an SWR
-
Make sure to pair with a good antenna
-
Also keep in mind your CB radio will only ever be as good as the antenna you pair it with

Save your money buy the $52.99 one and use the money you saved on a really good antenna, that's what really matters

You definitely need a good antenna to go with it.
-
This device is a little softer on output power though, so make sure you buy a good antenna
-
Make sure you get a decent antenna though, otherwise the radio will sound like crap to you and people you talk to.
-
Sorry for the rambling, invest in a good antenna and any little radio will work just fine.
-
I'm a ham, so it's not like I don't already have an antenna or three already, but several times a year I do a 22-hour drive from the Dallas, TX area to the Baltimore, MD area - the airwaves start getting pretty quiet after dark, and by midnight or shortly thereafter they're practically silent
-
It has superior range when used with a good antenna and the received audio is decent
-
Paired up with a good antenna this little radio rocks
-
According to instructions I have zeroed in on the correct antenna
-
Some off-roading friends of mine recommended, as a first time CB user, for me to buy this Uniden along with a good antenna.
-
I'm assuming this is either because I'm not near any CB owners or my antenna isn't good enough.
-
It feels like they put it together as cheaply as they could
-
I have an external speaker that I'm going to mount and hook up as it's sometimes hard to hear the unit inside the console.
-
Everything seems to work as it should.
