I️ made sure my car was warm and used an alcohol pad to wipe my car, let it dry and stuck it on, hard, and left it for 5 hours or whatever the package says

I tried attaching it twice, each time making sure the surface was clean, but every time when the car got hot the sticky substance would melt and the part would fall down

Obviously YMMV on this, if you take steps to mitigate the heat, like sun-shielding your car every time you park, or parking in a garage, but that's not always an option

I received my order attempted to install, will not stick to anything I warmed up the car and used the alcohol pad to clean area, let it dry and then proceeded to attempt to install item.

works great, one is each car makes it real convenient

Only downside is that you need to replace the adhesive backing in the summer as it can melt / lose some of its adhesiveness in the hot car

I had it mounted at roughly a 90 degree angle to the ground, this may most likely put too much weigh on the adhesive while the car was warming up

Neat idea, but the foam tape comes off when the car gets hot.

I applied it in a well warmed car and let it sit for two days before using as instructed

It works as it should, but beware if you own a phone with wireless charging capabilities this will prevent you from being able to charge wirelesly.
