I use the reader to retrieve and edit photos taken on my camera and saved to my compact flash cards.
Easily transfers from my Compact Flash disk to my hard drive with no problems.
In the meantime, I have to revert back to my slower USB 2.0 reader for fear that the constant unexpected ejections will end up corrupting a file, several files, or perhaps the whole compact flash card... ruining my photo images.

"I urge you, if your a hobbyist or especially a professional who counts on a card reader for your job, DO NOT waste your money, time or hopes on what has truly proven to be a poorly designed and even a poorer made card reader when it comes to the CF slot
