Despite numerous attempts and configurations, I was unable to communicate with my serial device using the USR-TCP232-302, it does not detect any incoming serial traffic although my device works normally when connecting on a PC.I have installed it correctly, configured all drivers, accessed its web interface to troubleshoot, no luck in getting any serial traffic.

RS-232 this is a good deal.

I could only get 9600 speed working with my Centos 7 host using getty on ttyUSB0.Here are the following issues I noticed:- local echo- could not use vim (due to echo)- up arrow to see previous commands doesn't workI used secureCRT with vt220 emulation to match the getty instance on the centos host

I was hoping to use this with a smart switch (serial out only) to allow me to control the device over Ethernet.

but in the end it I found a good Ethernet management module for my device and that was a better (though more costly) solution.
