In addition in my car (2014 Subaru outback) the air vent is so close to the steering wheel the phone is partially obscured and placing it on the passenger side vent it is too far

I'm using the left side vent which is ok but not preferred since your sight is drawn from the front of the car.

My only issue is that the mount doesn't work on vertical slats, so I have to use it on my window side vents instead of in the middle.

I actually had to attach this to my passenger side vent closest to me

I like it so much I may buy another one for my passenger side vent

I'm giving it 4 stars, though, because the clip often falls off the air vent of my Honda CR-V, mostly when I pull the phone away from the magnet
