I have a brand new Sharp Smart TV with Roku, and the light strip does not turn off when the TV is powered off

I got a different TV led strip on Ebay with the RGBW coloring and while it came in a flimsy envelope from China it did shine more brightly than this strip

Works perfectly so far, much better TV watching in a dark room.

As soon as the tv warms up the strip falls, I had to use duct tape to keep mine attached, and even then the experience is VERY disappointing, the end result is a far cry from the photos I saw here.
