works like its advertised to, clipped the ends and wired it to my battery with an inline fuse for a cleaner install

the mount also has a built-in power passthrough so the cord and power plug are tucked up and out of the way and with the long cord you can route it for a very clean install

The mount itself is very well designed, unlike many GPS mounts which are constantly falling off

The new GPS mount design is perfect, and the finishing touch to my amazing dash cam experience.

At the same time I opened a support case for the GPS mount, a new version of the GPS mount was released (B07CYW6JXW), with an improved pivot design

Works great on V3 cam but would like more cable between the USB connector and control box

Nice ends; and cable from "middle component pack - on" was plenty long to go from fusebox, up windshield post, to middle of windshield by rear-view camera in 2014 Camaro

The included cable is long enough to keep it out of your way inside the car, although that leads me to my only complaint - the camera itself uses Mini-USB

It does require a bit of fiddling with your wireing/fusebox (my fuse panel is at bottom of dash, so easy).Now, depending on what you prefer, you must locate a wire only active when ignition is ON (for 'on while driving' unless impact trigger activates units battery) or a 'always hot' (for 24/7, as I have it ..... however be warned ... you are limited to mem chip ability and may loose video if you don't get there within that time frame

Good product, but you need more than just this to hardwire the dash cam

This is my 1st time ever giving a badd review to anything at all before I cannot return the product either because I hacked it up to tested out 12 bucks well spent

I seem to have gotten 2 defective units out of 3very frustrating wasting all this time on an unreliable product

Drained my car battery had to get it replaced, does not turn off in case of low voltage.
