Do a ton of biking and have an iPhone 6 and this mount holds it so solid it never moves and that includes pretty decent mountain biking.

Unless the mount were to break the phone is not going to go anywhere.

However, I would appreciate a more streamlined mount that doesn't stand up as much.

The way this mount is secured to the bike is not good enough and it moves around a ton.

During a long ride last week the plastic ball mount cracked and broke away from the clamp that secures the mount to the handle bars.

So what I ended up doing is mounting two rubber grips onto the holder instead of one, secured it, then used the longer ends of the two grips to hold my larger phone

I have been a longtime love of the Topeak phone mounts that connect through the stem, but they are sized for each specific size iPhone, so every time I got a new phone, I had to buy an expensive new phone mount
