It definitely quiets the cymbals , not so much the drums , but gives a different tone to the set.

In my apparently never-ending quest to quiet my Electronic drums, I thought these would quiet things down a bit

These things are a godsend

I have 2 different electronic sets, a full set and a table top set and these are just as loud if not louder on the pads

These seem to stay on, but I'm not sure what the gain is unless you want to play on table tops

They do give a nice deep sound on the toms, which I like, but tough to get a decent crash on a cymbal (as expected).

Well worth the price in fun factor alone.

Really good practice tips

While I haven't compared them to nylon, they are just as loud as wood tips on mesh, and I much prefer the shape and size (and weight) of said wood tip.
