The o-ring seal protects the labels perfectly as long as it is tightened sufficiently.
This is accomplished by pouring the dirty solution back into its original container through a filter; and 2) the clamping mechanism that seals and protects the LP's labels from getting wet

It perfectly protects the record labels from getting wet
Yes, the discs do protect the record labels while spinning in the cleaner, but removing the discs while the record is big-time soaking and dripping will wet the label
I'm replacing the sleeves in my many hundreds of LPs and cleaning each as I go & the provided bottle only lasted for the first 50, but I'm dealing with in some cases years of buildup.
The drying rack - complete with a trough to collect fluid runoff - is a great little addition, and I love the way it all fits together for dust-free storage
The drying rack is awesome and it tucks away inside the main body when storing...very unique and handy
I also love the drying rack which is a very cool feature
I like the drying rack, wish it came with a couple of the record holders.
I went with this record cleaner for a little less than a Spin-Clean because it looked to me like it would do a better job.
Does a better job than I can do by hand that's for sure.
This does an outstanding job of thoroughly cleaning vinyl records
The VPI 16.5 cleaner does a better job than the Vinyl Styl since the VPIs actually vacuum the solution (and dirt/grease) away and doesn't leave any remaining solution to dry in the runout
It's easy to setup and use and it did a great job of cleaning records
A shoddy ripped off design, manufacturing problems and poor customer service are not going to help Vinyl Styl’s reputation
The self contained design is genius and the natural bristles give the grooves a good scrubbing.
First of all, this is a well-designed, good looking, self-contained package
This is a much better design and gives a nice finished product when you're done.
Would I recommend this product?Yes, but Vinyl Styl have to improve their washer design so the liquid can be returned to its bottle with no spills whatsoever.
My main issue are the brushes keep creeping up when you clean a record
: There is no mention where to obtain a separate pair of cleaning brushes, in case you need replacement.
brushes provide different (arguably better) cleaning than pads in Spin Clean; record rack built into base of unit; record clamp works really well and allows for easy turns of records and protects labels; comes with reusable fluid; cheaper than Spin CleanCONS: not sure about durability of brushes; brushes don't completely meet on either side of record, so some quality control issues; reusable fluid seems to work reasonably well, but the idea of straining it for reuse is tough to accept given how it has to be reintroducing some gunk to future cleans
They suggest using the record cleaning fluid to clean the brushes.
Turned out to be hairs from the cleaning brushes coming off into the fluid bath
I would repeat Dan's recommendation of using your own cleaning solution
The idea that you can easily pour the cleaning solution back into the bottle is a bit misleading though.
Forget trying to pour the 'used' cleaning solution back into the bottle

I used a microfiber cloth that came with another record cleaning solution.
I modified the cleaning process to included washing with the Vinyl Style device using a conditioning shampoo instead of the Vinyl Style cleaner, rinsed with warm water spray from the kitchen sink hose, followed by a demineralized water rinse in a plastic tub, hand dried with lint free microfiber cloth, then left in the handy tray for final air dry.
Packed for normal storage it fits real nice on the same shelf as my vinyl
This does an outstanding job of thoroughly cleaning vinyl records
You do not realize how filthy the vinyl is until you see the dirty basin!
Makes a tedious job, cleaning vinyl records, less tedious and hopefully, better done.
