It works, but it's not amazing or anything, just does what it says, its a really light peel, more of an exfolient.

Needless to say, since I was pleased with the results, I did purchase the peel for $60, after he told me that they days special was half off.

Maybe its not dead skin cells that's peeling off, maybe when the gel and tiny granules are mixed together, their interactions create these balled up skin like looking things on your face that makes you think its dead skins.
