I love the feature that lets me talk to baby when she wakes up

and I love the feature that allows me to talk to him without having to go into his room at night.

My Dad has Alzheimer's, and this device has been a godsend so that we can hear if he needs anything, or has fallen down

Unfortunately, one of the charging cords stopped working after traveling, and the parent unit has died

I've been using it since 2015 and still in good working condition

My main issue: it often loses the connection for no reason

Over a distance of 40' with three plaster walls in between the two units, a reliable connection was not possible.

The baby unit doesn't lose power and the parent unit stayed plugged in, but it loses connection and wakes us up for no reason

This is a pretty good audio only monitor for shorter distances, but it can't maintain a reliable connection through more than a wall or two in an older house.

The parent unit beeps if it ever loses connection with the baby unit, so you know if anything has happened!

There was no way to sleep with that thing randomly getting loud and blasting static noise all night long

It works great even with very loud white noise going

However, randomly, the parent unit will start its annoying beep and say "not linked" this happens infrequently, but often enough (several times a week) to be super annoying

It’s nice that the parent one beeps if the child one is disconnected (aka not on due to device not holding a charge) or you will be woken up by low

I’ll turn the sound down because this monitor is always in VOX mode, however if mom starts talking or needs me it will make a loud beep to let me know that something is going on in her room, sound clarity is excellent and if you have a parent that needs looked after- get this- walkie-talkies tend to confuse her with all the buttons plus you also pick up all kinds of outside interference and this really gets her confused

Maybe we got a defective one, but ours starts beeping REALLY loud for lengthy periods of time because it’s lost
