The second is that the newest version of this monitor has a really obnoxious message that is played LOUDLY every single time you link the units

Lovely feature when you finally successfully get baby down to sleep, realize in the next room over that you need to link the units only to have the inevitable loud message come on and wake your baby

There is an annoying message that plays when you turn it on about not putting it somewhere unsafe for baby.

No problem with the monitor except that every time the parent unit is turned on an annoying message comes on telling you to keep it three feet away from the baby.

It works as it is supposed to

From the moment I opened it, it had to be always plugged in to work as there is no battery feature (the batteries are defective)

Highly recommend as long as you want a no frills just reliable audio monitor!

We keep it hooked up to the charger throughout the entire night to make sure the battery does not run out and turns it off which keeps it working as we need it to
