but it’s cool to have the option to ditch the adaptor and use fresh ground coffee too
-
All you need is ground coffee and boiling water
-
I tried others and the grind wasn't fine enough.
-
I have noticed you want to use a coarser grind than you want for a real machine, otherwise way too much pressure builds up inside and it becomes hard to pump
-
So I tried a more coarse grind (as advised in a review video I watched) and the water passed through like it should, and the coffee was under extracted, really badly
-
Use fresh ground beans or you will have a sub prime experience
-
Now, to try different brands of espresso coffee, this one was an extra fine grind
-
Course or not enough grinds will result in a very weak pull
-
Will try with less water or finer grind and update my review if it changesUpdate from my last comment (and upgrade on star rating): With the Barista Kit, you get the double load
-
You can use a nice fine ground and it produces a really tasty shot.
-
I used my own coffee and ground it to a normal, fine, espresso grind
-
If you don't notice any pressure, your grinds are either too course or you didn't put enough grinds in
