Wacaco Nanopresso Portable Espresso Maker, Upgrade Version of Minipresso, 18 Bar Pressure Hand Coffee Maker, Travel Gadgets, Manually Operated, Compatible with Ground Coffee, Perfect for Camping

    • I have a small 16 oz electric water kettle to boil water at my desk.
    • I’ll be able to add hot water to the espresso and make my hubby happy with an Americana too.
    • As long as you can get hot water
    • g of hot water (199 F is best)28-35g out (aka coffee and water)Aim for 30-35
    • No matter how hot the water you put in the Nanoespresso, once you pour it, it is almost cold to an almost espresso coffee.
    • Run the steel press in hot water or it will cool the coffee during the press
    • It can get a bit messy when dissembling after use for cleaning -- be sure to not lose the small bits down the drain -- and the pressure chamber requires a few "dry" pumps to expel residual water in the tank & some time to dry out before packing and traveling anew
    • Oh, and it needs to be filled with hot water which it does not heat up on it own
    • You don't have to worry about batteries or power because it uses manual pneumatic pressure to press hot water through the coffee grinds
    • But to be able to take it camping, add some hot water, pump 15 times and have coffee
    • No matter how hot the water you put in the Nanoespresso, once you pour it, it is almost cold to an almost espresso coffee.
    • All you'd need then is hot water
    • You can brew your espresso anytime, anywhere.. just make sure you bring your hot water with you.
    • If the water isn’t crazy hot the expresso comes out like warm at best
    • All you need is ground coffee and boiling water
    • I tweak the grind, the dosage, the tamping pressure, use the single dose basket, tried the double dose basket, and it either drips in sad little drops like how you dribble after you piss (andsweat is liturally, and I mean literally, pooling on the ground from me trying to extract my 50g of espresso from the double basket), or it's so under extracted that I might as well drink the water from backflushing the grouphead of an espresso machine; at least that has more taste
    • Even when we put wey hot water in it, the espresso comes out at best lukewarm
    • To warm the cup (and spoon), pour water into the cup.2
    • You probably will burn yourself with the hot water
    • Whether I’m onsite in the middle of nowhere or in a big warehouse - all I need for good espresso is this guy, ground beans, and hot water
    • You DO have to have really hot water, and do your research on how to use it
    • Things I found out, don't boil the water as stated 190-200 degrees works best to get more crema
    • Just warm up your water, add it to the machine and start pumping out a delicious couple of shots!
    • Just an FYI, in case you have no access to hot water.
    • Whether I’m onsite in the middle of nowhere or in a big warehouse - all I need for good espresso is this guy, ground beans, and hot water

    • Easy to use, easy to clean, and the expresso coming out of it is as good as in a full blown machine
