If you need an antenna to work at those frequencies and have a RPSMA connector, this is nicely made antenna at a good price

but they are a definite upgrade from anything stock and the price per set is awesome.

You can spend a lot on an upgraded antenna for a Bao Feng (or any amateur radio) these are a good value, give you a few dBs more worth of performance, and at a great price.

This has given him a better range, looks good and weather-proof.

I'd estimate the effective range with these antennas as ~2mile ( with f8+ radio)

This antenna extended the range of my baofeng uv5r and gt3 to about 4 miles i would recommend these antennas.

They gave us greater range with our radios, we ride the sand dunes and need to keep in touch with our group and base camp, now we hear conversations much clearer too

The whip is very flexible, doesn't stretch out or get misshapen, and provides a very long range!

If I jiggled the antenna I had intermittent reception.
