This was the most expensive hard drive ever bought because as a light PC gamer requires a bigger drive before I used a 200 gig drive which I found out it was not enough space for one full game due to size sharing both mac and window at the same time I am a mac user my computer is a Mac book pro 2011 13 inch and will be running parellels on the window side to play some games from within also as a full time student space is needed to stored

There is a caveat with all hard drives that the advertised available space is substantially larger than what you wind up with after formatting

If you need a firm, fast, reliable, long HDD life and battery life saving with a very reasonable price, I would advice to go with this product

Never upgraded to a PS3 Slim, and had a 320GB in my "Phat" PS3 forever, decided it was time to upgrade, and this HDD was perfect.

This HDD is 5400 rpm and has only 8 MB of cache, so I was skeptical whether it would be able to perform as fast as my old HDD

But this drive works as advertised and is reasonably priced.

Western Digital also has great customer service in my experience with all my other WD drives in the past -- they'll send you a replacement drive with a box to ship back the dead drive if there's ever an issue.

the 2 year warranty is acceptable so long WD provides the appropriate service.

I always take such advertising with a grain of salt, but must admit that it is absolutely the quietest disk hard drive that I have installed.

No problem with the drive since it was installed and it provides plenty of room for large PS4 games that are soon to come.

When asleep, the drives take a minute to spin up and start working, but once they do, there are very nice sustained transfer speeds of over 100 MB per second

If it keeps working as well as it has to date, I will most likely buy more WD products in the future.

It sores data at a good GB/$ ratio.

You will have to get a hard drive enclosure to do it correctly.
