With a hard plastic grip, your hand might get a little uncomfortable if your plan on using them for hours on end, but they're fine for my small household tasks
In addition, the rough texture on the matte handle provides a good grip for sweaty hands
But, man, do these cut really well! These have a great grip that accommodate bigger hands as
Anyway, I've used the Westcott brand before (in fact, I have their "Westcott Titanium Bonded Scissors with Soft Grip Handles" and it's been great),
They are VERY comfortable to use (almost as much as the 'good grips' type), they appear to be well made (a good pair of scissors will last 20-30 years, and these look like they will), and can cut paper, tape, fabric, cardboard, and other material.
If you want precision or a perfectly sharp cut, you need to look elsewhere, but if you need those types of scissors chances are you already knew that.
Engagement between the scissor halves is good and I was able to make full, clean cuts along the entire length of the blade without any problems
I didn't find the pull enough to be a full snag that impairs the cut, but it is noticeable
They might not be the scissors you'd want to use for long, repetitive cutting jobs, but they are very sharp out of the box, and cut through 4-6 sheets of paper with no difficulty
You won't want to use them to cut fine fabric, and they won't work for intricate paper cutting
