I compared this with our Scotch titanium scissors and I can feel the Westcott is not as smooth when cutting and a bit stiffer when opening and closing
-
In fact, they made an extremely precise cut with absolute ease
-
You won't want to use them to cut fine fabric, and they won't work for intricate paper cutting
-
I didn't find the pull enough to be a full snag that impairs the cut, but it is noticeable
-
They might not be the scissors you'd want to use for long, repetitive cutting jobs, but they are very sharp out of the box, and cut through 4-6 sheets of paper with no difficulty
-
If you want precision or a perfectly sharp cut, you need to look elsewhere, but if you need those types of scissors chances are you already knew that.
-
Engagement between the scissor halves is good and I was able to make full, clean cuts along the entire length of the blade without any problems
